Show rulES1. The closing date for entries is 5th of July, no late entries will be received past
this date. All entries must have fee with them to be valid and accepted2. All cups are perpetual and are to be returned to the committee by the 30th of June 20133. Exhibits must be the propert of the exhibitor for at least to moths before date of the
sho ad i the coed classes must be domiciled i the stated are for the period.
4. Exhibits i the Farm ad Vegetable sectio must be gro b the exhibitor5. The show secretary, acting through her ofcers, may refuse
an entry without assigning any reason.6. The show is not responsible for any damages to any of the exhibits7. Only entries that are in the booklet will be admitted to the classes unless
it has been an oversight of the committee no exceptions8. The Judges decisions are nal.9. The judges may withhold a prize in any class in which in their opinion there
is not sufcient merit. The judges decision to merit will be nal10. In the case of only one exhibit in a Class, the Judge may award a 1st prize if in
their opinion the quality is high enough, otherwise a merit may be awarded11. In classes where there are more than ten entries the judges may award an additional prize
if the exhibits in their opinion warrant such an award; 4th prize is equal to 3rd prize12. Animals for exhibition in the show must be in the show grounds at least 30
minutes before judging commences in their sections All animals should be haltertrained and haltered on the day unless the category says otherwise. All entriesin the marquee must also be in at least 30 minutes before judging begins.
13. There shall be no tampering or moving of the exhibits entered14. No free admission will be given other than children15. No exhibit shall be removed from the Marquee before 5.30pm without prior notice; prize
giving will be from 5.30pm to 6.00pm All prizes must be claimed on the day of the show.
16. Under no circumstances should any of the items be lifted by anyone otherthan the person who entered them, they are not free for anyone to take.
17. Conned in the CATTLE section is dened in the map at the front ofthe entry booklet, otherwise conned is the area from Glencolmcille tothe top of Glengesh Pass and out to the Blue Haven Hotel.
18. Open in the animal categories is dened as anyone beingeligible to enter no matter where your address is.
19. Adequate handling should be provided for the amount of animals entered in any one category20. All photos are to be 10x8 and mounted on card, except postcards, all paintings are
to be no larger than 30x24 to include the frame and all posters are to be A4 size21. The winners of the conned sections automatically qualify for Overall Champion22. Any person who interferes in any way with a judge will forfeit any prizes they may have in that
section and will be barred from entering the show for a period as decided by the committee.23. The general public are not permitted in the Marquee during judging and only
stewards who have no entries in those categories will accompany the judge.

CATTLEThe requiremets set out belo are iteded to protect the health of the aimals atshos ad sales, to miimise the risk of exposure to disease. Exhibitors should: Move animals direct from farm to show grounds Disinfect the vehicle used to transport animals before and after use Insist that all steps necessary to protect animals are taken by the show Committee Ensure that the required documentation which should accompany the
animals is in order before the date of the Show and contact the localDistrict Veterinary Ofce when deciding to exhibit at any show.
AnIMAL HEALTH STATUSTB All animals must come from herds which are not restricted and have
a clear heard test within the previous twelve months. No premovement test is required for TB however, it is recommended by the department
that a 30 day premovement test for TB should apply to all Shows and Sales
BRUCELLOSIS All animals must come from herds which are not restricted
All eligible animals (i.e. females aged 12 months and over and bulls aged 12 monthsand over) must be 30 day premovement tested for Brucellosis. However, these animalsmay move to any number of shows within the validity period of the same 30 daypremovement test. However, female animals aged 18 months and over and bulls aged12 months and over may only be sold on foot of any 30 day premovement test
No animals allowed entry without current cattle test and ID Card
IDEnTIFICATIOn On movement off the holding all sheep must be individually identied by an
approved ear tag(s) bearing letters IE, an eight- character ock/herd number andan individual number of no more than 5 digits in accordance with the requirements
of NSIS. Homebred sheep must be tagged in the left ear while sheep that havebeen on one or more previous holdings must also have a tag in the right ear.
MOVEMEnT DOCUMEnTATIOn All consignments of sheep being moved must have completes dispatch documentation.
Individual details of each sheep in the consignment must be recorded.
FLOCK REGISTER All movement of sheep to and from shows must be recorded
in your ock register, use event code s Attendance of sheep from scrapie monitored ocks at shows and
sales in 2006, shows between 1st
May and 30th
September. Sheep from scrapie monitored ocks will be permitted to attendAgricultural shows taking place between 1st May and 30th Septemberwithout restriction or separation from other categories of sheep
