Letter from the General Manager:

November is here and the golf season is ending but the

indoor tennis season is heating up. While the golf

season is ending we have two projects underway that

will enhance the experience here at Glendoveer Golf &

Tennis.

The first project being our much anticipated cart barn.

We have received the permit and have started the

project. We anticipate completing the cart barn in the

3rd or 4th week of December. Once the building is

complete we will have a brand new fleet of 75 Club Cars

for our guest to enjoy. The carts will be newer, quieter

and all have windshields.

The second project we are currently working on is

redoing the lighting on the driving range. The electrical

panel has already been replaced. The interior and

exterior (field lights) lights will be replaced. With the

new exterior lights we will have more and brighter

coverage of the driving range itself.

While the weather may be turning we hope to see you

either in the indoor tennis courts or at the covered range

or for the hearty Oregonians on the golf course.

NEWEST Head Golf

Professional: Greetings! I’d like to introduce

myself as the new Head Golf

Professional at Glendoveer Golf &

Tennis. I am extremely excited

to join the Glendoveer Golf &

Tennis Team.

I recently moved to Portland from Phoenix, AZ where I worked at

The Arizona Biltmore Golf Club as 1st Assistant Golf Professional

and Director of Member Benefits. I am extremely customer

satisfaction focused and will continue to strive to produce an

experience that will exceed expectations. Please stop in to say

hello and look at the great changes that have been made to the

Pro Shop. Those changes include a wide variety of non-alcoholic

drinks and snacks, tables inside the Pro Shop to relax, talk with

friends, and watch television on our brand new 50-inch flat

screen television. The Pro Shop is fully equipped with the latest

styles of clothing and accessories at great prices from the major

name brands such as Foot Joy, Titleist, Nike, Adidas, Prince, and

Antigua. When you call to make your next tee-time, please

include your email address to capture our latest golf and tennis

promotions! Happy Thanksgiving!

A word from K-Lean’s Tennis

When looking at the calendar, November is usually the month people associate with being thankful. After all,

it is the month where we celebrate Thanksgiving with our family and friends. It is the time of year

to reminisce about what we are thankful for. Thanksgiving is one of the events in November that makes us

think this way.

I am thankful for the support of all the phenomenal tennis members and tennis clients. I truly enjoy each

and every one of you. All of you make it a pleasure for me to come to work every day. I am grateful for a

job that allows me to play tennis everyday.

I personally invite everyone to come out and join us for more tennis. Bring your friends and family with

you. Men’s and Women’s Night is FREE to all tennis members and $10 for non-members.

Every Wednesday is Men’s Night from 6:00pm to 9:45pm. Women’s

Night is on every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

Tip of Month:

The most essential part of tennis at any level is FOOTWORK.

Most shots we miss are when we are either out of position or

off balance. This would include being too close or too far from

the ball, late preparation, lunging, and or positioned in “no-

man’s land.” All of us can hit the ball when it’s in our sweet

spot. The key is being able to move so that the ball is always

in our sweet spot.
