KENAI FJORDS NATIONAL PARK
Shoreline and Glaciers Ocean water now fills long, steep sided, glacier carved
valleys Subduction zone is causes the Kenai Mountains to slip
into the sea Many animals make this their home and spawning area The combination of both Shoreline and Glaciers makes
this a unique habitat for animals that I would kill to study
KENAI FJORDS NATIONAL PARK
IF I COULD STAND THE COLD I WOULD LIVE HERE
John Muir
Founded the Sierria club Helped Roosevelt start the movement to start National
parks The reason why we have Yosemite
John Muir
We have all these beautiful parks because of John Muir
What is the value of State and National Parks?
The value of State and National Parks are limitless. Without them a number of animals and plants would be extinct. Many small towns would have died. For me the most important value is that I wouldn’t be able to see Nature they way it was 100 years ago.
