Online Alumni Meet 2020 (Dt. 11/10/2020) Report

The Department of ELECTRONICS& COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

had organi zed an alumni meeting 2020" for all batches (2008 October 2020-Sunday through online platform Google meet. The meeting started at 10.00 a.m. with a prayer. Prof. Rushikesh B Gajjar, Asst. Prof.-EC

Department welcomed the gathering of stakeholders. In total, 157 nos.

stakeholders which includes alumni, students, industry persons, parents and

faculty members who had linkage with E&c dept.-GEC Gandhinagar have participated in the online alumni meet. Our past alumni and faculty members have participated in this Google Meet by delivering the expert talk and sharingtheir memories and views about the department, most of them volunteered to

Glimpses of Online Alumni Meet-2020: Mr. Mohammad Zuber Pirumiya Malek, an alumni of pass out batch year

2008, the very first batch of the E&C Dept., GEC, Gandhinagar. He is working in

Intel India Privet Limited as DFT technical Manager. He delivered the expert

talk on "My journey in VLSI Industry & career Opportunities in VLSI Industry in which he pointed out the basic requirement of career opportunities in VLST

and how you approach in VLSI industry.

Mr. Sugandh Tanna, an alumni of pass out batch year: 2013 batch of the E&C Dept., GEC, Gandhinagar. He is working in Maxim India Limited as an Analog IC design Engineer. He delivered the expert talk on "Current trends in Industry

and Scope after B.E in E&c" in which he pointed out the ANALOG and DIGITALDESIGN in VLSI and after comple tion of B.E what to do for career opportunities either you go for M.Tech from NIT, TIT and how you got

admission.

Mr. Anishkumar Nair, an alumni of pass out batch year: 2018 batch of the E&C Dept., GEC, Gandhinagar. He is working in E-infochips, Ahmedabad as a Physical Design Enginner.He delivered the expert talk on "Introduction to VLSI

Industry" in which he pointed out the DIGITAL DESIGN Tools used in VLSI

Industry. Prof. Nilesh M Banker, Asst. Prof-E&c Department as well as Dept. NBA

coordinator explained about NBA and the importance of NBA accreditation in

technical institutions. Then he discussed about the Institute SWOC, Vision &

Mission statements along with E&C Department SWOC, Vision, Mission

statements, PEO's & PO's were explained to the stakeholders towards taking

consent from the Stakeholders of E&C department through Google Form. One

important point in which he pointed the involvement of the stakeholders in the

NBA accreditation process and asked all the stakeholders to come forward with

feedback/suggestions/comments for endorsing the same.

Dr. Sweta P Dave, Principal, Government Engineering College, Sec-28, Gandhinagar gave her message to all the stakeholders of the E&C Dept.,

Government Engineering College, Sec-28, Gandhinagar in which she rightly

pointed out the importance of Alumni in growth of any Institutions as well as

insisted with more & more linkage with Industry-Institute participation and

Alumni.

Prof. Tejas B sheth, Associate Prof.-E&C dept., gave a speech in which he

briefed the department progress, highlighted the major activities of E&C

Department. Infrastructure details available in the department. He also shared

the E-Newsletter of E&C Dept. among all the stakeholders in online meeting.

The concluding remark of this Online Alumni Meet was given by Prof. (Dr.) Kishor G. Maradia, Head of Electronics & Communication Engineering

Department, GEC-Gandhinagar. He addressed the alumnus with his valuable

experiences and sugge stions towards the brighter future and scope of E&C

Department. Also he invited all the stakeholders to take part in our teaching

learning process to prosper the E&C Engineering department for betterment of

our students and urged all alumni to contribute for the department and be a member of alumni association. He also added the importance of alumni for

betterment & progress of their alumni matter.

At the end, the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department alumni coordinators sincerely expressed its gratitude to the honorable Principal

Madam and Head of Electronics & Communication Engineering Department for their guidance and support to make this event a grand success and thanks to all

Faculties, stakeholders' including Alumni for attending online Alumni Meet and

contributing towards making it such an unforgettable event in his vote of

thanks.
