hosting an open house has proven to be one of the most enjoyable weekends of the year!

it’s an opportunity to give back the warmth your hostesses and customers have shared with you. it’s a wonderful way to gain new customers and jewellery Stylists as your guests bring along their friends, knowing they will enjoy your open house as much as they do.

Here is a master Plan to aCHieve suCCess: ❏ Make a list of everyone you wish to invite – past hostesses

and customers, past open house guests, relatives, friends, neighbours, co-workers, your husband’s co-workers or their wives, church members, club and organization members and your children’s friends and their mothers.

❏ hand-write addresses on your invitations and mail them out ten days prior to the event.

❏ carry extra invitations in your handbag or cash and carry Bag to hand out in person.

❏ Send the online e-invitation and reminder from My customer connection.

❏ create a Facebook event and invite all your Facebook friends. use the event photo found under the side ad on your jewellery Stylist site.

❏ make follow-up phone calls the day or two before your open house. these calls are essential for a good turn-out.

Hi Betty, Hope you and Ernie are well; I miss you! I wanted to let you know about a special hostess named Melinda. I met her and her mother Marie at a show in Melbourne. They bought a lot of jewellery that night, including “Santorini”. Marie asked how far I would travel to do a show. I smiled and asked, “How far are you?” She told me about three hours, but that it would be Melinda’s show. She saidthat Melinda is disabled but lives in her own house, and explained how they have helped her be independent. She even offered me a room to stay overnight. I told her I would do the show the following week. Kamaran offered to drive me and we would drive back that night. The day came and it was 40 degrees in Melbourne and hotter in the country areas. Two hours into our drive we noticed smoke in the distance. It was a bush fire and emergency services were stopping cars. They had closed the freeway and we were told to go through another town that would be safe. We ended up lost, but found our way an hour later; it took us four hours. We arrived and I started the show. When I presented Melinda with her hostess gift I asked her to show her guests what she had received. She said, “No.” There were a few giggles in the room and I asked her again. She still said, “No.” Then I asked if I could open the box to show them and she agreed!

Betty, there was a group of ladies in attendance that were in their 80s. They loved our jewellery and all wished they could afford more. We booked a show at their women’s club for November Christmas shopping. Then I met some beautiful younger ladies who loved

our jewellery and purchased many crystal bangles and luxe rings. Another group of young mothers loved the little girls’ jewellery and booked a show for November at the Pony Club. Everyone loves our jewellery!

The show was $1,740.00 and Melinda loved choosing jewellery with her hostess credits. I was very tired when I got home, but Kamaran reminded me, “Some people work all week to make $800. Just think… you worked for half a day!” And he was right! I made a young woman very happy and met some wonderful ladies that had never heard of or seen Fifth Avenue Collection before - and they can’t wait until they see it again in November!
