ABOUTGLOBAL WARMING

What is the global warming?

Global warming is a phenomenon of increasing the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans.

What is caused by global warming?

Global warming is caused by the bleed into the atmosphere of greenhouse gases: mainly carbon dioxide and methane. Greenhouse gases prevent the escape of infrared radiation from the Earth to space, causing heating of the Earth. In other words, instead of heat to escape into space, is collected in the atmosphere as the thick blanket, causing a temperature increase.

What will happen in the future?

What is the practical causes global warming?

Research shows that the reason for the existence of global warming is human activity that is responsible for the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. In practice this means, for example, driving a car, traveling jets, the use of electricity from a nearby power the combustion coal, burning wood or formation of certain agricultural processes (such as rice cultivation).

Significant impact on the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has also deforestation. Trees are able to collect carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and converting it into oxygen. As a result the cutting woods, man reduces the ability to remove CO2 from the atmosphere.

Is the temperature on Earth actually growing?

Yes. This is demonstrated by data from several sources, even from the National Climatic Data Center, which since 1880 explores the average temperatures on land and evaluations on the northern and southern hemispheres. NCDC is the world's largest institution of collecting weather information.

From their data shows that about 50 years the average temperature increases. What's worse, these data can also be inferred that this increase is not stable, but in recent years even faster, as evidenced by the fact that all the highest average temperatures for each month fall in the last 10 years, and the 10 hottest years in history measurements fall on the years since 1990.

Is global warming and the change in the average temperature just a

few degrees Celsius can have dramatic effects?

Yes. It would seem that an increase in the average temperature of only a few degrees Celsius would not have a major impact on the climate, but it may involve a number of different effects. Appropriate to envisage them is obviously very difficult and you may come across conflicting information . However, over time , scientists can better interpret facts and to predict events that might occur . Here are some of the most important changes that may cause global warming : Raising the level of the oceans and seas of 9 cm to 88 cm by the year 2100 . Such an increase in water level can cause flooding during storms and storms , seasonal flooding , and in some areas completely flooded ( Florida peninsula , San Francisco Bay region , Netherlands , Beijing). Unprecedented drought and heat can cause water shortages , fires and the death of tens of thousands of people ( such as during a heat wave in Europe in 2002) . Ironically, at the time of occurrence of droughts and heat waves in other regions may reach unprecedented storms, rain and mudslides . Reduce the population of certain plants and animals. In some cases, an increase in temperature can cause the total extinction of certain species of fauna and flora that will not be able to adapt to climate change. Risk of diseases transmitted by mosquitoes , insects and rodents in areas where these diseases were previously unheard of.

Which countries are most responsible for global warming?

United States. Despite the fact that the U.S. population is only 4% of the population on Earth, it produces up to 25% of all impurities formed during the combustion of fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas). Interestingly, the United States thus pollute the environment more than China, India and Japan put together.
