    Vanitha Narayanan Managing Director, IBM India Private, Ltd.

    Vanitha Narayanan is the Managing Director of IBM India Private Limited, and the Regional General Manager for India/ South Asia (ISA). Appointed to this leadership position in January 2013, she is responsible for all of IBM’s sales, marketing, services and global delivery operations in the India/South Asia region, including operations in Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. India remains one of the fastest growing countries for IBM and has emerged as a strategic location within the company’s global services delivery network.

    Having joined IBM in the US in 1987, Vanitha has over 26 years of experience working with multiple client sets and in several countries. Since 2009, she has been a part of the IBM ISA business, serving in roles as the Sales & Distribution Leader and recently as the Managing Partner for Global Business Services (GBS). Prior to this, she has served as the Vice President of Communications sector, Asia Pacific, and the Global Vice President for IBM’s telecom solutions offerings.

    She is a member of IBM’s Growth & Transformation Team which is comprised of senior Global Executives who are selected by the IBM Chairman. In 2012, Vanitha was inducted into the IBM Industry Academy, a select group of experts, designed to advance IBM’s industry thought leadership and brand. Vanitha also leads several leadership development & diversity initiatives for ISA and is the executive sponsor for developing the women’s leadership pipeline.

    Vanitha is a member of the National Council of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2013-14, Co-Chair of National Committee for MNCs of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2013-14 and also the Chairperson of the board of governors for National Institutes of Technology (NIT) heading NIT-Suratkal.

    She has a Masters in Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Madras and a Masters in Business Administration in Information Systems from University of Houston - Magna Cum Laude. Vanitha is married with a daughter and is presently residing in Bangalore, India.

    Dr. Swati Piramal has used her background in medicine, public health and business to change the trajectory of healthcare, education, and public policy in India. She is one of India’s leading scientists and industrialists and is involved in public health and innovation. Born in 1956 Dr. Piramal earned her medical degree from Mumbai University. Dr. Piramal is an alumnus of the Harvard School of Public Health. She is a member of the Harvard Board of Overseers and Dean’s Advisor to Harvard Business School & Public Health.

He also initiated India’s largest collaborative giving platform, Dasra Giving Circles, which combines in-depth research, funding and managerial support enabling 15–30x scale.     Shivakumar, or Shiv as he is popularly known, is Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt. Ltd. Before Pepsico, Shiv was with Nokia for eight years, running India and then the Emerging Markets operations.

    Shiv is a Marketer and CEO. He has run over 34 brands in his career across Unilever, Philips and Nokia.     Padmini Somani Founder and Director, Salaam Bombay Foundation

    Padmini Somani has been working in the field of health with a focus on tobacco control for the last 20 years. She is the Founder- Director of Salaam Bombay Foundation, an NGO, with India’s largest preventive school based programme on tobacco, with a focus on children from at risk homes. Padmini also actively spearheads the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation that supports several causes in the area of health, especially cancer control, education and employment generation. She is the co-founder of Healis-Sekhsaria Institute of Public Health and is also on the board of the Prince Aly Khan Hospital, Ambuja Cement Foundation, Ambuja Education Initiative, the Everest Foundation and the Indian Institute for Craft Design (IICD).
