Under the leadership of HH Sheika Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned, the Qatar Foundation organized the firstWorld Innovation Summit for Educationon November 16-18, 2009
The Doha Summit brought together 1,000 global education leaders seeking common ground & action on challenging educational issues in the 21st century.
These included major issues ranging from the hundreds of millions of people still denied the basic right of education
to questions about how we will educate people for a world in which they will have to be global employees and citizens

There were three strands of themed presentations based on Pluralism, Sustainability and Innovation to promote concrete, systemic educational change
