Global MEL Workshop Save the Date!! 8 – 12 November 2010 Location: Senegal LEAD and RPD invite you to participate in a 5- day staff development retreat. Through experiential and peer learning methods, we will continue to build core staff competencies in ROPE with particular emphasis on Program MEL systems and practices, including Annual Impact Reflection (AIR). In addition, staff who are interested and recommended by their managers are also invited to attend a 3-day “MEL for Managers “course from the 3 rd to 5 th of November. For more information please contact your Deputy Regional Director or MEL for Managers is a career development course for staff with an interest in receiving graduate level instruction on the basics of Monitoring and Evaluation. Contrary to the title, this course is not limited to managers. The MEL for Managers course seeks to build capacity in all Oxfam program and policy staff to engage knowledgeably and constructively in evaluative processes. At the end of this course, individuals will be better participants in and consumers of program, project and campaign evaluations.
