What is GVB?

Global Village of Beijing was established in 1996. It is an environmental organization dedicated to public environmental education . Global village currently has 15 full-time staff and thousands of volunteers.

Its purpose is to enhance the environmental awareness of citizens and enhance public participation to promote China's sustainable development.





It is one of the most influential NGOs in China, and Global Village of Beijing was awarded as the best NGO in China in 2006.

Problems—management deficiencies





Problem ： Among their staff , it may be hard to figure out experts that possess professional knowledge. International famous scientist is impossible .

Solution: Attract more professional persons and provide more chances for it’s staff to learn professional knowledge





Problem: Due to the limits of special conditions, simple introduction of development process is not enough.

Solution: try to make it more suit to their own conditions





Problem : The understanding of GVB and the approval degree are not very high, the influence of GVB is not wide.

Solution : With the help of government and dissemination increasing, this problem will be solved in the near future.





Problem: 95% of the main money is from abroad.

Solution: Find other ways to collect money. Such as develop some small companies or enterprise to support the organization's operation.
