1. Abomination of Desolation When the Antichrist sits down

in therebuilt Jewish Temple and

2. Amillennialism:(prefix "a," "no"). The belief

that thereis no literal 1000-year reign of

Christ.Thus Revelation 20 is taken

symbolically,not literally, by adherents of

this view.Amillennialists generally

believe thatIsrael has been permanently

set asidefor all time and that God's

current planof salvation involves only the

Church.

3. Antichrist: Often described as the most evil

manthat will ever live. He will arrive

on theworld scene and appear to be

theworld's savior, but everyone on

earthwill soon learn his real mission

will beone of destruction. Also called

the manof lawlessness (or sin), Gog, the

son ofdestruction (or perdition) (1 John 2:18) , (Rev 13:1-8)

4. Apostacy:In the end times, the Bible

predicts agreat falling away or

departureFrom the faith. (2 Thes 2:3), (Mat 24:11-13)

5. Armageddon:Armageddon comes from the

Hebrewword meaning "the Mount of

Megiddo.“This ancient fortress is located

innorthern Israel, across the Plain

ofEsdraelon from Nazareth.

Armageddonwill be the gathering place for

the finalgreat battle, which bears its

name. (Rev 16:16)

6. Church Age: The "Church Age" began on the

day ofPentecost and will end at with

raptureof the church before the

beginning ofthe tribulation. Many

dispensationalistsbelieve the Church is the

reason whythere is a gap between Daniel's

69th

and 70th week. Dan 9:24-27

7. Dispensationalism:The view that believes God's

dealingswith men have proceeded

through welldefined time periods, in each of

whichGod reveals a particular

purpose to beaccomplished in that period, to

whichmen respond in faith or

unbelief.

8. Dragon: The dragon is the symbolic

name givento representative the devil.

Satan is alsodescribed as "that old

serpent." (Rev 20:2)

9. Eschatology: The study of things that

relate to theend times. That which

relates to theFinal events in the history ofmankind.

10.False Church: During the first part of the

tribulation,the Antichrist's rise to power will

beaided by a religious system, which

willinclude most, if not all, of the

world'smajor religions. During the second

halfof the tribulation the Antichrist willdestroy this false church. The book

ofRevelation describes the false

churchesas the great whore.  (Rev 17:1-5)

11.False Prophet: He will administrate the

workings of theone-world church. The False

Prophet'sprimary mission will be to

cause theworld to worship the Antichrist. (Rev 13:11-14)

12.Jacob's Trouble: Called by Jeremiah as "the time of

Jacob'strouble" and by Daniel as "the time

ofdistress such as never occurred,“

this eventwill take place during the 3 1/2 year

reignof antichrist. The time of Jacob's

trouble willbe a time of great suffering on

earth. Thesuffering will be brought on by the

actionsof the Antichrist and by the wrath

of Godbeing poured out on a sinful world.

(Jer 30:7)

13. Judgment, Great White Throne: 

This judgment is predominately for the

unsaved. It is also believed to be a

more stern judgment than the Judgment

seat of Christ. It is here where all those

that are not found written in the book of

life are cast into the lake offire. (Rev20:11-15)

14.Judgment Seat Of Christ: Immediately after the rapture,

thechurch will receive rewards

according towhat they have done on earth,

whetherit be good or bad. The

Judgment seatof Christ is for believers only. (2 Cor 5:10), (Rom 14:10-12), (Rev 11:15-18)

15.Lake Of Fire:The lake of fire is the final

abode forall the lost, the Devil and all of

his coworkers. Everyone that's

condemned tothis fiery inferno will suffer

unrelentingeternal torment. (Rev 20:15)

16. Mark Of The Beast: "He causeth all, both small and

great, richAnd poor, free and bond, to

receive a markIn their right hand, or in their

foreheads:And that no man might buy or sell,

save heThat had the mark, or the name of

thebeast, or the number of his name." (Rev 13:16-18)

17. Millennium: After the tribulation, Jesus

Christ will setup an earthly Kingdom where

he willrule for 1000 years. (Rev 20: 3-4)

18. Rapture: At an unknown hour and day the

Lord Jesuswill descend from heaven, while

remaining inthe air, he will snatch his Bride, the

Church, outfrom among this sinful world. Christ

then takesthe Church to heaven for the 7 year

weddingfeast. The earthly reason for the

removal ofthe Church is to make way for the

rise ofAntichrist and to fulfill Daniel's final

70th

week. (Mat 25:13), (1 Thes 4:16-18), 

(1 Cor 15:51-54)

19.The Restrainer:The presence of the Holy Spirit

on earthcurrently is what restrains the

forces ofevil. The Holy Spirit resides in

the livesof all believers, which is why

Christiansare called the "salt of the

earth." Whenthe Church is removed at the

rapture,most of the restraining power

of theHoly Spirit will be removed as

well. (2 Thes 2:7), (Mat 5:13)

20.Second Coming: This is the time when Jesus Christ

will return, defeat the Antichrist, and set up his

1000year kingdom on earth. The second

coming isnot the rapture. The rapture takes

placeapproximately 7 years prior to the

secondcoming. Another important

difference betweenthe two is that the rapture will occur

at anunknown time while the second

coming will takeplace 42 months After the Antichrist

declareshimself to be God.  (Rev 13:5), (Mat

25:13)

21.Tribulation: A period of time lasting 7

years, thefirst 3 1/2 years will be

relativelypeaceful as the antichrist rises

to power.The second 3 1/2 years will

bring thegreatest suffering in human

history asthe wrath of God and the

Antichrist ispoured out on earth. (Dan 9:27) , (Mat 24:21)

22.The Wrath of God:The Wrath of God is poured out onman at the midpoint of the

tribulation.The people of earth will come

underGod's wrath because they refuse

to turnfrom their wicked ways. Those thatreceive the Antichrist Mark will not

onlycome under God's wrath, but will

be lostforever. (1 Thes 1:10),(1 Thes

5:9) , (Rev14:9-11)

23.144,000 Jewish Saints: Before the Antichrist

administers hismark, God will send an angel to

markthe foreheads of 144,000 Jews

–12,000 from each of the 12

tribes. The144,000 sealed Jews will

apparentlybe commissioned to be a

witness toThe Gentiles during the

tribulation. (Rev 7:2-8)
