10 Red Bank Battlefield and the James and Ann Whitall HouseRed Bank Battlefield is a passive recreation park with scenic walking paths along the Delaware River, picnic pavilions and children’s play area. The remains of the Revolutionary Fort Mercer are accessible by self guided tours when the park is open. The Whitall House Museum offers interpretive tours during scheduled hours. Special programs, individual, group and school tours by appointment year round.

From April to October, we hold a monthly Heritage Sunday which includes hearth cooking demonstrations, battlefield tours and rotating topics on special themes and hand’s-on activities. Every October, 18th Century Field Day re-enacts the victory of Red Bank in conjunction with the Jonas Cattell Run. Our World War II Encampment is an exciting tribute to the Greatest Generation. And do not miss the natural beauty of the annual Flower Show in the Spring or the Candlelight Tours in December.

The Park is open every day from sunrise to sunset.

Hollybush Whitney Mansion - The beautiful Victorian was built in 1849 by Thomas and Samuel Whitney, owners of Whitney Glass Works in Glassboro. Tinicum Rear Range LighthouseSince 1880, sailors have counted on the Tinicum Lighthouse, which lights up the Delaware River with a fixed red light of 500,000 candlepower, to help them navigate the waterway. Gloucester County Historical Society Museum Known as the Hunter-Lawrence-Jessup House, the history of this 18th century building is almost as long as its name. Once the home of Revolutionary War activist and educator Reverend Andrew Hunter, and later the 19th century Judge John S. Jessup, it is now headquarters for the Gloucester County Historical Society which exhibits South Jersey glass, textiles and other artifacts. 58 N. Mullica Hill - Known as “Antique Country,” the town is home to over forty antique shops. In 1991 the entire village of Mullica Hill was placed on both the National and New Jersey Registers of Historic Places in recognition of its historic and architectural significance. Trinity Episcopal Church - This began as an 18th century Lutheran church but the Swedish government stopped sending ministers to America and in 1786, the congregation switched to Episcopalian.
