Galileo – GMV the national leader in Galileo (GMV group 1st behind primes).
– Work in GMS OSPF on-going in the FOC phase.
ROCAT • ROCAT (Techniques for Robust Carrier Phase Tracking). ESA TRP.
• GMV will integrate innovative techniques in own receiver products in order to assess the performance of robust carrier phase tracking.
FASTTTFFIX • Navigation Message Techniques and Concepts for Fast Time to First Fix
(TTFF) without aiding. ESA TRP.
• GMV is the leader and in charge of algorithms design and simulators.
In-house products – GNSS software receiver product line (srx10).
– wipode indoor navigation.
– magic suite tools.

ARAIM • Study on Advanced Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (ARAIM)
concepts to meet the civil aviation LPV-200 and APV-I missions with vertical guidance on a worldwide basis, and to determine their impact in the European GNSS evolution plans.
• The project shall study different architectures involving GBAS, SBAS, and a worldwide ARAIM Network disseminating ISM and validated navigation message.
ANGELICA • Analysis of GNSS Evolution for Liability-Critical Applications (ANGELICA)
is a study project for ESA on the potential future evolution of the European GNSS systems (EGNOS, Galileo) in order to provide the due service to the users of “Liability Critical applications” (LCA).
• GMV performs technical analysis of the requirements of GNSS for Liability-Critical Applications.

MLU TEST-BED
• Multi-constellation regional system Land Users testbed, support European agencies, users, and industry in evolving GNSS to support possible future services. The focus is on the proof of position service (POPS) and on emergency services (ES) alert dissemination channel for “liability critical services”.
• GMV is currently developing the EGNOS End-to-End Simulator, a Raw Data Generator (RDG).
HISTB
• The High Integrity System Test Bed is an EGEP test bed devoted to high integrity experiments for aeronautical missions. Experiment new safety-of-life services and to support EGNOS evolution.
• GMV is charge of the following activities: – The evolution of SPEED V1 Navigation Kernel into V2 in order to
increase the input and output flexibility.
– Algorithms evolutions to implement the new integrity services.

ROFERS • The Robust Frequency Reference Subsystem
project is a self-standing unit using the satellite’s on-board reference clock signals, and generating a frequency signal with improved performance and robustness.
• The solution will be implemented in an FPGA breadboard model, where GMV is responsible for the algorithm FPGA and controller unit.
NAVIPEDIA • Wikipedia-like site about satellite navigation
technology.
• GMV is responsible for the writing and editing part of the initial content before the public opening of the site in 2012.
• Site is now online.
• Register at www.navipedia.net .

ARTES 10: ANTARES • AeroNauTicAl REsources Satellite based is the phase B study
designing a new Satellite Communication System for Air Traffic Management, within the Iris programme, the satellite-based solution for the Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) programme.
• ANTARES is a two-year study that focuses on the development of a new, purpose-built, SATCOM system.
• The performance of the telecommunication protocols will be verified by end-to-end test bed developed by GMV.
ARTES 20: BIRDSTRIKES • IAP activity to provide – in the long term - sustainable
services to civil aviation, airport authorities and other interested stakeholders in order to reduce the number of bird strikes and their impacts. The concept is of a system integrating existing measures and technologies with space-based assets to provide timely notification and prediction of the presence of birds in the areas at and around airports.
• GMV provided the expertise dealing with Earth Observation technologies.

ARTES 20: SINUE • Satellites enabling the Integration in Non-
segregated airspace of UAS in Europe - Feasibility study.
• GMV explored the feasibility of a maritime surveillance mission in the Portuguese Isles.
ARTES 21: Satellite-AIS phase B1 study • GMV helped to refine user requirements analysis
based on its experience leading the previous EMSA Space-based AIS User benefit Analysis.
• Mission analysis support given to Astrium to study and optimize the constellation configuration.
