Tips:

1. Right click on router icon and choose idlepc to save memory and CPU resources.2. Always open a new project with the two options in order to save your config so next time you open the project, all saved configuration will be

loaded. Otherwise, you will have to start from the scratch.

3. Don’t use “Save as” feature because the configuration file will be save in the same previous project. Just start a new project.

4. Remember which image you use when you save your project. Later on, if you change the default image, you will not able to open that project again. But don’t worry too much about that. You can always go back to the folder you saved your project and find out what image you used for that project. It will be in the folder with _working.

NOTE: Ver 12.3 and higher give you the ability to use “do” command in any mode to run privilege command. For ex: Router(config-if)#do show runNOTE: This is my image for the work I did before 09/23/2011. c2600-ik9s-mz.122-40a.bin in folder “c2610-2613” under CISCO_IOS under DropboxNOTE: some images do not have TCL script features. The image above has because of the “a” next to “40”. So be careful when you choose your image.
