Model  Ebola  Conference  October  28th,  2014

ALIEN  MOOT  COURT

Ruth    That  really  was  a  great  deal  of  fun.    I  have  another  very  large  project.    It  will  be  a  moot  court  with  the  Armenian  Genocide  100th  year  anniversary.    We  will  do  it  at8:00  am  your  Mme  on  Monday  April  20,  2015      You  would  defend  Mahmet  Telet  Pasha-‐  the  leader  of  the  OKoman  Turks  who  was  charged  with  the  beginning  the  Armenian  Genocide.

IN  HIS  OWN  WORDS

My  recent  experiences  with  electronic  video  communicaMon,  in  this  case,  online  systems  like  Skype,  have  redefined  my  concepMons  of  technology  and  global  communicaMon.  This  entertaining  and  informaMve  experience,  though  disproporMonately  stressful  to  one  with  liKle  familiarity  with  the  inherent  circumstances,  greatly  increases  my  sense  of  solidarity  with  other  people.

IN  HIS  OWN  WORDS

When  thrust  into  condiMons  such  as  I  was,  one  is  forced  to  quickly  adapt  and  learn  invaluable  skills  including  public  speaking  and  self-‐confidence.  The  video  conference  our  class  parMcipated  in  was  such  an  occasion.  Therein  I  presented  four  minor  speeches  and  responded  promptly  to  the  overseer’s  quesMons.  Other  than  personal  experience  and  mental/emoMonal  exercise,  the  conference

IN  HIS  WORDS

-‐was  highly  educaMonal  from  an  objecMve  view,  with  detailed  informaMon  researched  and  presented  by  schools  and  groups  around  the  world.  I  am  grateful  for  the  opportuniMes  and  challenges  it  has  presented  to  me.
