My name is Corey Peters

• I am an imperfect Husband, Father, Teacher, and Coach loved by a perfect Heavenly Father.

• Several years ago I was confronted with the fact that I was a closet Christian. I was content calling myself a Christian because I didn’t swear too much, went to church on Sunday, and didn’t watch bad movies.

• But I was perfectly content going into my home and shutting the door in my nice neighborhood while darkness plagued communities and families.

One day I was walking into a convenience store and I observed a young girl (3) standing by the candy. She had beautiful blonde hair. She had her back facing me. As I came closer I noticed that she was swaying back and forth from foot to foot. That struck me as odd. I noticed her Father standing at the counter yelling at her. When she turned around I noticed that she had a major facial deformity. Her bottom lip was turned out, blue, and hung well below her chin. Her head was looking down while drool ran out of both sides of her mouth.

Now you would have thought a “Good Christian” person could have prayed for this little girl or her Father…. Right. Wrong. I turned around and went back outside into my car. I started crying. I told God that “I AM NOTHING”! “I AM NOTHING AS A HUSBAND, FATHER, COACH, AND CERTAINLY A CHRISTIAN”!! Something had to change. I really started some deep prayer and studying of the Bible. He started speaking to my heart about going out and praying for people intentionally.

I didn’t know what that would look like. I was real nervous. I thought that I would offend people, but I knew something had to change.

I had a few people join me going out on Thursday nights to pray for people. We started bringing groceries with us. We pray for anyone in any condition. We love them in Jesus Name. I started meeting so many amazing people that I started writing a blog to share some of the stories. I will post a link at the end of this.

I am nothing special. It is all God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit leading this thing. But it has been nothing short of amazing. He has given us ideas. The one on the front picture was when we gave roses to nightclub dancers. I always saw them outside smoking and prayed to ask God how to minister to them.That is an amazing story. Here is the link. DEAR GOD

I am sick of doing things my own way. I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I need your forgiveness. I believe that You came and died for my sins and rose from the dead. I receive You as Savior and Lord. Come into my heart and take control of my life. I am all in Jesus. I invite Your Holy Spirit to come and teach me Your ways. Release me from the chains of my past. In Jesus Name,Amen
