edical Science tells us there aremany incurable diseases, suchas some forms of cancer,

arthritis, heart disease and AIDS, justto name a few. Even though there areno known medical cures for manydiseases, Gods Word is a super-natural cure and offers supernatural

hope to all who are afflicted.The Bible is the manufacturers

handbook revealing how to take careof what God has made. In the book ofProverbs, God reveals some vitalinformation concerning your healthand well being.

My son, attend to my words;incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thineeyes; keep them in the midst of thineheart. For they are life unto thosethat find them, and health to alltheir flesh. (Prov. 4:20-23)

There is probably no other truthany more important to healing andhealth than these verses admonishing

us to keep Gods Word in our hearts.This is the basic principle of callingthings that are not. This one principlecould be the key to being a partakerof Gods provisions concerninghealth.

Calling things that are not is theprinciple by which Abraham became

fully persuaded that God would dowhat He had promised. Paul said thatAbraham believed God, ...whoquickeneth the dead; and calleththose things which be not asthough they were (Romans 4:17).

Paul was referring to GenesisChapter 17. God called Abram thefather of nations before he had the

promised child, and He taughtAbram to do the same.

God changed Abrams name toAbraham, which meant father ofnations, or multitude. This was themeans He used to force Abraham tocall for what he did not yet have inreality. God had established it by

promise, but Abraham had to call itinto reality by mixing faith with

Gods Word. (Hebrews 4:1-2)Every t ime he said, I amAbraham, he was calling things thatwere not yet manifest. Abrahamdidnt deny that he was old. Hedidnt go around saying, Im notold, because he was old. But hesaid, I am Abraham, (Father ofNations). This was Gods method of

helping him change his image, and itcaused him to be fully persuaded.Just as Abraham did you must

also call things which are not yetseen in the natural, if you are to livein the reality of Gods promise. ForGod uses unseen spiritual forces toovercome natural things. FirstCorinthians 1:27-28 says, God

hath chosen... things which arenot, to bring to nought things thatare.

Your part is to speak what is trueaccording to Gods Word.

David said, I believe, thereforehave I spoken... (Psalm 116:10).Quoting David, Paul wrote, Wehaving the same spirit of faith,

a cc or di ng a s i t i s wri tt en , Ibelieved, and therefore have Ispoken; we also believe, andtherefore speak (2 Cor. 4:13).

When it comes to divine healingthis is a vital principle. For GodsWord is life, health, and medicine toall your flesh.

Psalm 107:20 tells us that God

...sent his word, and healed them,and delivered them from theirdestructions. (Notice that God didnot send His Word to heal, but Hesent His Word and healed.)

The truth is that by Jesus stripes

...ye were healed (I Peter 2:24).Your healing is a complete work as far

as Gods Word is concerned. Yet wemust be fully persuaded of it and call itinto manifestation.

HEALING IS INYOUR MOUTH

One way to administer Godsmedicine to your body is to keep

Gods Word in your mouth. Paul said,The Word is nigh you even in yourmouth and then in your heart. But,instead of calling things that are not,most people make the mistake ofcalling things the way they are.

Many years ago, I heard about alady who had a fever continually forseveral months. Doctors couldnt find

anything physically wrong with her.They questioned her thoroughlyand discovered that when she wasupset about anything, she would say,that just burns me up. She used thatphrase several times a day. The doctorswere not sure if it had anything to dowith her condition or not, but theyasked her not to use the phrase

anymore.Within weeks, her body tempera-ture was normal.

Now let me ask you, how manytimes have you said, Every time I eatthat it makes me sick...My back is justkilling me...Those kids make me sonervous... Im trying to take the flu...?Your own words are giving instruc-

tions to your body and it will begreatly influenced by those words. Itmay even shut down your immunesystem.

Gods method is to call for positivethings that are not yet a reality in your

mouth. No one else can do it for you.James admonished us to ...receive

with meekness the engraftedword, which is able to save yoursouls (James 1:21).

Gods Word becomes engraftedinto your heart as you speak it. It isfirst in your mouth, then in theheart...this is Gods order.

The righteousness which is offaith...says...The word is nigh thee,

even in thy mouth, and in thyheart... (Romans 10:6-8). Nothingbuilds your faith more than declaringwith your own voice what God hassaid about you in His Word.

When you declare Godspromises concerning your healing,you are establishing Gods truth evenbefore it is a reality in your body. Let

me say it again, this is not denyingthat sickness exists. It is denyingsickness the right to exist in yourbody. It is taking your rightfulposition as one who has beenredeemed from the curse of the lawand delivered from the authorityof darkness (Galatians 3:13;Colossians 1:13).

Some people who have misun-derstood this principle try to denywhat exists. But there is no power indenying what exists. The power is incalling for healing and health, andyou do that by mixing faith withGods Word.

If you are sick, you dont denythat you are sick. Then on the other

hand, you dont want to always beconfessing your sickness. Denyingsickness will not make you well, yetconfessing sickness establishes youin your present circumstance andgives you a mind-set of fear.

APPLY SPIRITUALMEDICINE

To exercise your authority overyour body, Gods Word must beallowed to become part of you. Thisprocess is called receiving the

engrafted Word.When you declare Gods promisesconcerning your healing, you areestablishing Gods truth even before itis a reality in your body. This is notdenying that sickness exists. It isdenying sickness the right to exist inyour body.

Just as you would take medicineinto your physical body to aid healingby physical means, so you mustreceive Gods Word concerninghealing into your spirit for supernatur-

al healing. Just as medical science aidshealing through physical means byadministering medicine into thephysical body, Gods medicineprovides divine healing by administer-ing the promises of His Word throughthe human spirit. Gods Word will healyour body, but it does it throughspiritual means.

Although it is a spiritual cure,Gods Word is like any other medicine- in that it must be applied on a regularbasis. You must apply Gods Word toyour individual circumstances orsituation by the confession of your

more clear in The Amplified Bible,which says, For she kept saying,

If I only touch His garments, Ishall be restored to health.This woman hoped to be healed

as she pressed through the crowd.She continued to speak until she sawherself well. Her hope was that shewould be healed, although she didntfeel or look healed. She continued tostrengthen her hope with faith-filled

words: I shall be restored tohealth...I shall be restored tohealth...I shall be...I shall be...

Im sure her head demanded,When? You dont look, or feel, anybe tte r. Sh e a ns we re d h um anreasoning by speaking the faithimage that filled her heart; When I

touch His garment, I shall be whole.

Those words penetrated her spiritand she began to see herself well.Images of despair and defeat gaveway to faith-filled words of healing.When she touched Jesus garment,her touch of faith made a demand onthe covenant of God and the healinganointing which was on Jesus. Faithgave substance to her hope and

healing was manifested in her body.Hope is a goal-setter, but it lackssubstance until it is filled with faith.Faith gave substance to her hope andlaid claim to what was hersaccording to the promises of thecovenant. Someone said Jesushealed her, but He didnt even knowshe was there until He felt power

flow out of Him. Then Jesus said,Daughter, thy faith hath madethee whole...(verse 34). It was herfaith in the covenant that made ademand on the anointing and healingwas the result.

Make a decision to mix your faithwith Gods Word and call for Gods

promises to be manifest in your body.The mixing of your faith with GodsWord will cause you to be fullypersuaded. When you become fullypersuaded, healing is the result.

Do you want your flesh to reflectthe life of Gods Word? Then let theWord become so infused into yourspirit that it becomes a part of you. Not

only will His Word become yourthought and affirmation...but it will beyou. When Gods Word concerninghealing takes root in your flesh, itbecomes greater than pain, greaterthan disease, and that Word becomes areality in your flesh.

SEEING YOURSELF

WHOLE

When the Word of God is allowedto be engrafted into you, it creates inyou an image of what is already realityin the spirit realm. When you speakthat Word from your heart, then faithgives substance to the promises ofGod. Those images become stronger

every time you speak your faith.A healing image is created in youby Gods Word and your continualaffirmation of agreement with whatGod has said. When that image isperfected by the Word of God youbegin to see yourself well. The Wordengrafted into you is infusing Godslife into you (John 6:63; Romans

8:11).This was demonstrated by thewoman with the issue of blood, whofollowed Jesus saying, If I maytouch his clothes, I shall be whole(Mark 5:28). The verb tense is made

sickness and disease in a natural

manner.Now dont get the idea that I am

against doctors. Thank God formedical science and what they cando today. But there are some thingsthat doctors cant do, because theyare limited in their ability.

When taught properly and bypracticing the principles of faith, you

can grow to the point where it willbe a common thing for you toreceive healing through the Word ofGod. Yet, this doesnt happenovernight. So use some commonsense and dont do foolish thingsthrough spiritual pride and call itfaith.

It takes time to develop faith to

operate in these principles, so dontlet anyone put you under condemna-tion for going to doctors or havingan operation. You must operate onyour level of faith, but dont stay onthat level forever. Continue in GodsWord until you develop faith in thehealing power of Gods Word.

Confess the promises of Gods

Word concerning your health andhealing daily. Confess the Wordaudibly over your body two or threeti me s a day. Conf ess i t wi thauthority. Confessing Gods Word isa way you can fellowship with theLord and increase your faith at thesame time.

Take Gods Word on a regular

basis, just as you would take anyother medicine. Practice Godsmedicine; it is life to you and healthto all your flesh and there are noharmful side effects.

THE LANGUAGE

OF HEALTH

The words you speak are vital toyour health and well-being. I believethere are some diseases that will neverbe cured unless people learn to speakthe language of health the body under-stands. That language of health is theengrafting of Gods Word into your

spirit by giving voice to His promises.Your words become either a

blessing or a curse to you. I amconvinced from my study of the Wordof God that your own words canchange your immune system either forbetter or worse. (See James 3:2-7).

Proverbs 18:21 tells us that Deathand life are in the power of the

tongue: and they that love it shalleat the fruit thereof. In a recentstudy, men and women 65 and olderwere asked to rate their health asexcellent, good, fair and poor.

The study showed that those whorated their health as poor were four tofive times more likely to die withinfour years as those who rated them-

selves as excellent. This was true evenwhen examinations showed therespondents to be in comparablehealth.

People who have an image of them-selves being in poor health will talkabout poor health. Even though theymay be in good health, they seem tolive out the reality of the image they

have of themselves even unto death.Then on the other hand, I believe

that people who continually affirm theWord in faith will build into theirimmune systems a supernaturalanointing that is capable of eliminating

Sayings such as these seem to

indicate that there is an internalknowledge among humans thatour minds and attitudes affect ourphysical bodies. What we thinkand hold in our minds can makeus sick, not just in the short term,but can make us have chronichealth problems.

Is it any wonder that Godcalled those who resisted Himand would not yield, stiff-necked? Ye stiffnecked anduncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the HolyGhost: as you fathers [did} , so[do] ye. (Acts 7:51) (Also see II

Chr. 30:8 & II KIngs 17:14)The next time someone triesto talk you into something youdont want to do, check yourneck muscles! Or just watchanyone else who is being

stubborn and inflexible at the

moment. Watch the shouldersrise, the neck muscles get stiff,and the jaw muscles bulge. Andyou dont think that our attitudesaffect our bodies? They mostcertainly do, and not just on atemporary basis.

happens in life that affects ourcells as much as it is our reactionto those experiences.

LET GO OF WHAT MAKESYOU SICK

In Luke, chapter 5, verse 15,the Bible says, But so much themore went there a fame abroad ofhim: and great multitudes cametogether to hear, and to be healedby him of their infirmities.

The people came to hear andto be healed. Something that theyheard helped them to be healed.Yes, they heard that Jesus was

anointed but they also heard Hismessage. The Sermon on theMount was probably the essenceof Jesus message. (Matt 5, 6, &7) That message was one of love,forgiveness, and overcoming evilwith good. The people that Jesuswas speaking to were terribly

oppressed by the religious leadersof the day. They had good reasonto hate and hold grudges,butJesus taught them how to let goof what was eating them alive.(Resentment and bitterness canliterally eat you alive and makeyou sick.)

Yes, the anointing will heal,but what if the root of the diseasewas not dealt with? The hatredwou ld ca us e th e phy si calproblems to return. Yes, theanointing was present to heal, but

it was also present to teach themhow to maintain that healing. Abig part of the healing ministry

was to teach people to let go ofthings that make them sick.You may have stepped into the

prayer line for healing of atension headache and whenhands were laid on you theheadache left. You havetemporary relief. But if you dontlearn to deal with the tension in ahealthy manner or eliminatesome of it, you will continue tohave tension headaches. Now,lest you go around judging thosewho are seeking treatments forstiff necks and headaches, let mesay that there are organic and sit-uational causes for sickness and

disease also. Perhaps that personwith a stiff neck was in an autoaccident and has whiplash. Thereare genetic predispositions, aswell such as diabetes, heartproblems, cancer, etc. However,with the Word of God and ourconfession, we can reverse those

tendencies. James says that wecan set on fire the wheel ofnature, that is our genetic inheri-tance. (James 3:2-6)

If you have a chroniccondition that you are troubledwith, ask the Holy Spirit to revealto you any areas in your attitudes

and thought life that are affectingyou. Let Christ really heal youdown to the root of the disease.If the Son therefore shall makeyou free, ye shall be free indeed.(John 8:36)
