    Gods Original Intent

The devil always tries to corrupt Gods original intent for our lives as Christians (Genesis 3:4, Matthew

    4:1-11).

    Main Passage: Genesis 4-22

    Verse 4-5 and 9

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the

LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and

every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and

there was not a man to till the ground.

    9. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good

for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil

    1. God is the one who causes growth not ourselves (Zechariah 4:6 and 1Corinthians 3:7-8). Weneed to trust that God is capable of growing the harvest as is shown in the scripture above, verse

    9. God is faithful and His word will do that which He sends it to do (Isaiah 55:10).

    Verse 15

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

    2. Gods original intent was for us to be stewards of His wealth on earth (Luke 19:11-26 and Matt25: 14-30). For us to do effectively be stewards of His wealth we need to work together with Him

and be in concert with Him (Hebrews 1:1-4)

    Verse 16-17

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the gardenthou mayest freely eat: But

of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest

    thereof thou shalt surely die.

    3. God give the specification of how to be a steward of His resources/ wealth. In this case He gaveAdam specific instruction about what to eat and not to eat. The specifications come from the

word of God (bible), (2 Timothy 3:16 and Isaiah 51:4). There shouldnt be any uncertainty on

how God wants you to be a steward of His kingdoms resources. If that is the case, dont despair

child of God. God promises that those who seek Him diligently will find Him (Hebrews 11:6).
