Where
GWC was born in Diamond Grove, MO. He studied at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. He later transferred transferred to Iowa State Agricultural College.

Childhood
George Washington Carver was the child of Mary and Giles. Mary,one of George's sisters, and George Washington Carver were kidnapped by raiders from Arkansas. An agent of Moses Carver tracked down
George and brought him back to Missouri. Once slavery ended in 1865, Moses and Susan Carver decided to take care of George and his brother James. biography.com

George Washington Carver found a way to preserve the nutrients in soil, CROP ROTATION. One year, you would plant 1 crop, you would have another crop another year, and so on and so on.

He was a huge help for the agricultural community. He made peanuts more profitable by finding over 100 uses for peanuts! He also thought of the idea of

He influenced our society by helping the farming community immensely! His inventions got farmers to use peanuts as a crop so the bug who ate cotton
