Type of wall constructed – Windsor concrete blocks, fill and pool fencing.

Brief description of work completed.

Australian Retaining Walls were tasked with providing a solution to this largely unusable

lakeside area at the rear of this Coombabah, Gold Coast property. The new owners, as well as

being concerned about safety wanted a flat play area for the kids and steps down to the soon

to be installed pontoon.

After discussing options with our clients a Windsor concrete block wall was found to be the

best system for this project.

After setting up, the first step of this and most projects is excavation. A 4 tonne excavator

was brought in. A lot of hard wheelbarrow work followed and a stockpile of aggregate was

created to be utilized as back-fill for later use in the project.

Once the site was cleared and the footings were dug out, construction of this Windsor

concrete block wall could get under way. Australian Retaining Walls then build two 1M

Windsor concrete block walls creating three tiers for our Coombabah, Gold Coast Qld clients.

After the Windsor concrete block walls are built and our drainage systems installed

Australian Retaining Walls versatile tradesmen also lay turf on the bottom tier, mulch the

middle tier and install some pool fencing on the top tier to complete this fantastic looking and

kid friendly area for our extremely happy Coombabah, Gold Coast Qld clients.
