After welcoming a new CEO to the company at the
start of 2019, Gold’s Gym has entered an exciting new
era of innovation.
Under the leadership of recently promoted Chief
Development Officer Craig Sherwood, you could say
“The Gold’s Gym Franchise is in its Best Shape Ever”
as the fitness pioneer continues its global expansion
efforts. Domestically, we enjoyed playing a key role
this past quarter in announcing the brand’s
return to the state of Arizona with a new,
state-of-the-art gym in Chandler.

we anticipate that Q3 will be filled
with even more exciting news.

9Round More Knock-Out WinsIt was yet another exciting quarter for 9Round. The brand celebrated its 800th grand opening in May, but global growth wasn’t the only highlight of Q2 for this BizCom client.
Between 9Round member Carrie Bair sharing her weight loss journey with POPSUGAR and 9Round franchisee Rob Martinez telling ABC8 in Dallas his incredible story as a stroke-survivor-turned-business-owner, there was no shortage of great stories to tell on the brand’s behalf.
We will soon be celebrating our first anniversary as the agency of record for 9Round and we look forward to another great year of spreading the word about the brand’s many impressive accomplishments.

With May came National Home Improvement Month, a.k.a. the perfect opportunity to promote client Neighborly’s role as the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands. Company CEO Mike Bidwell made a guest appearance on Cheddar, filmed directly from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, to encourage viewers to check out the Spring Home Improvement checklist offered via GetNeighborly.com.
And speaking of broadcast coverage, Brand Ambassador Dina Dwyer-Owens also got some great air time this quarter when she visited CNBC studios to discuss Neighborly’s position as an industry leader for a segment of “On the Money.”
We continued to shine a spotlight on Neighborly’s impressive executive leadership team with a Franchise Update magazine feature about CMO Lisa Zoellner and her genius marketing strategies, and a Modrn Business podcast series featuring COO Mary Thompson to discuss her experiences as a veter-an-turned-executive and as a female C-suite leader.
We look forward to an eventful Q3 2019 with Neighborly, which will include some of our team attending the client’s reunion this August.

Edible An Incredible StoryWith the brand celebrating its 20th anniversary this year,
Edible Arrangements continues to make headlines two
decades later. Founder Tariq Farid shared one of the
personal items he often turns to for inspiration in the
June issue of Entrepreneur magazine.
Meanwhile, Tariq kept himself busy by expanding
into the hemp CBD market with his latest enterprise,
Incredible Edibles, which he believes is the next
natural step for him in his business ventures.
Among the many media capturing the excitement
of this new venture, Forbes provided an in-depth look
into Tariq’s new enterprise as well as the impact he
expects to make on one of the hottest and most
misunderstood markets.

The JunkluggersClean Up With PurposeBizCom welcomed The Junkluggers to the client roster in June. For this eco-friendly junk removal franchise, it’s been a milestone year as it celebrates its 15th anniversary.
Just within a month of working with this sustainable brand, founder/CEO Josh Cohen not only shared his journey to mobile franchising in the July issue of Franchising USA, but found himself on the supplementary cover of the publication.

Restoration 1 / bluefrog Plumbing + DrainHot Weather, Hot StoriesAs the weather heated up, so did the business for Restoration 1 and bluefrog Plumbing + Drain! The two brands started off the year strong, and haven’t lost friction since.
When the Tulsa, OK, area experienced extreme flooding, Restoration 1 was there to provide helpful safety tips on the FOX23 nightly news. The brand also provided insight on how to handle fire damage restoration in Restoration and Remediation Magazine.
Franchise Business Consultant and Operations Specialist for bluefrog Plumbing + Drain Jack Pruitt found himself giving tips to Realtor.com. If you’ve ever wondered what shouldn’t make it’s way down to your septic tank you may want to check out the article.
Meanwhile, CEO Gary Findley spent his time traveling across the country to visit with franchisees and speaking at the Franchise Times Finance and Growth Conference in Las Vegas. We also featured this “Redneck CEO” in our “10 Minutes With” series.

luncheon in Las Vegas where he officially received his
award and mingled with other Dealmakers.
Steve was named a “Brand Master” in his CEO profile with
Franchise Update. And when he wasn’t busy growing his
service organization, Steve was visiting franchisees out
on the front-lines and being interviewed by Thrive Global.

The brand is experiencing fast-paced growth with 280
locations open and in development across nine countries
and counting.
Local communities are welcoming the brand with open

segments, to capture the excitement.
