The Quest For The Golden Skis

You are tall, muscular and handsome. You have light, smooth brown hair. Your eyes are light blue like the ocean. Your beard is spikey and short.

You are going on the adventure of your life on a Quest for the Golden Skis. You are racing 4 other Olympic skiers to get to the Golden Skis first. So say your good-byes and now you Bode Miller are on your way. You are an Olympic and World Championship alpine skiing gold medalist.

You get ready for your adventure. You get your equipment ready. You get your long skis, clear goggles, soft gloves, sturdy helmet, strong ski poles, stretchy suit, and thick binders.

You ski up to a sign that has three choices. Skiing with your long, thin, and light skis you swoosh to the best choice you think will get you the fastest to the Golden Skis before the other TEAM USA alpine skiers get there. You choose....

The Cave Passage

Icy Mountain

Path

Ice Rocky Path

You chose the cave passage. To get to the cave it is like going down a slalom course. You have to go around banners to not crash! There is a lot of snow like a blizzard as you make your way to the cave. Lucky you have your goggles to see and you have your heavy suit so you don’t get frost bite. As you see the cave you see a dark ovalish shape. As you get closer it gets darker and darker like you were in a space ship rocketing away from the sun. You are really afraid to enter, but are so cold you have to get shelter.

The Cave Passage

You enter the dark cave and it is a little warmer than outside. There are howling sounds like ghosts flying above you. You look around and see a few dark figures that look like spiders crawling on the ceiling. You were so focused on the quest that you forget you are afraid of spiders.

You keep going into the cave to see if this will get you to the golden skis. It is very flat and takes you a long time to ski through.

The Icy Mountain Path

You chose the icy mountain path. Skiing down this path is like the Super Combined. The course is long and icy. The turns are sharp and you would go off the side of the mountain if you miss. You come upon 3 mountains. One is big, one is medium and one is small. They look like upside down ice cream cones. They look like small versions of Mount Everest. There are jagged edges. You search for the path to get through the mountains to get to the golden skis. You find it between the big and the medium mountain. You go so fast down hill you jump high off the ground.

You get into the snow and it pushes you all the way to the bottom of the medium hill and you push your poles and look around then you see something shiny ahead. You think it’s a weird but you just keep going to see what it is.

Ice rocky path

You think the rocky ice path is more your thing and take the rocky ice path. This path is like the Super G race. There are lots of turns you have to go around. The mountain is so steep you are going almost 100 miles an hour.

Icy rocks as icy as a lake after a blizzard. Tall mountains as tall as space and the snow was whiter then you have ever seen. As you ski to find the golden skis you try to not fall over in to a gorge you saw a gorge that points to the left it is a very strange one but you then go left and you see three paths the first one is really long the second is a little bit shorter. The last one is small. You think maybe the golden skis are in one of these paths. You make a sharp turn and...

You skis are not able to stay on the slope. You slide off. You fall into a steep, dark gorge. Now you don’t know what to do! You are so hungry and you are so tired. You are also hurt. You call for help.

It takes a helicopter rescue to save you. You have some pretty bad injuries from your fall. Both legs are broken and you have a concussion. Your Olympic ski days are over! You retire and become an alpine ski coach. Your student goes to the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea.

The End

It takes you forever because most of your skiing was flat. If you were an experienced cross country skier with cross country skis you would have gotten there faster. You get to where the Golden Skis are, but you see they aren’t there. There was a block of ice broken apart. The Golden Skis were found by one of your TEAM USA mates.

You don’t have the luck of Golden Skis to win at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Your future is looking a little blurry.

You find the Golden Skis!! You are so excited and so exhausted you want to faint, but then you put on the heavy, sparkly, and shiny golden skis. You feel the lucky tingle in your muscles. You know with

the Golden Skis you will be skiing at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea!
