Julie Andrews uses inclusive and participatory art interventions to enhance everyday life experiences. Julie’s work encourages community engagement and positive associations with place through a subtle and responsive approach to participant driven interventions. Fringe Magnets is popular idea of using magnetic words and letters to break through writers block, but in this instance instead of the home fridge, this activity takes place in a public space to encourage people to construct and share their words and stories. This project takes this fridge magnet idea and uses it as a democratic call for individuals to write something directly in a public arena.INFo: Contact Julie Andrews via www.julieandrewsart.com Supported by Regional Arts Victoria.
