In a recent Golf Magazine article, Colin Swatton, who coaches and caddies for the well-known PGA player Jason Day, explained some of the techniques Day uses to execute flawless shots on the course. For example, Swatton states that Day maintains a pyramid-shaped body formation on the backswing.

Golf Magazine Swatton explains that the pyramid shape restricts
knee and hip movement, which is essential for a strong swing. Instead, Day uses a large shoulder turn to create power.
Swatton also explained that Day achieves maximum power by combining a strong backswing with proper sequencing on the downswing. To ensure that the club is moving at full speed when it impacts the ball, the golfer’s hips should move first, followed by the torso, then the arms, and lastly the hands.
