Good Boys Go Bad

(CD)Daniel attracted a polite cough. It didn't attract the attention he wanted. He cleared his

throat, took a deep breath and reached for the bell. It was now or never. He counted down from ten inhis head, with every second he counted his stomach grew into a bigger knot. “3...2....1...”

BEEP BEEP BEEP! The fire alarm rang so loud Daniel had to cover his ears, as he ran for a place to watch his deed be unfolded. His heart was pounding and his mind was racing as he went back 

to early today at lunch.

“If you want to be in our group your gonna have to do something bad.”

This is what the head leader, Jimmy of the Bad Boys had said to Daniel at lunch. Daniel wanted

so badly to be in with the cool kids,they were everything he had though at least that he wanted to be.

They had the cute girls, nice stuff, and the only thing Daniel really wanted to be proud to have...a BadBoys Letterman Jacket. Black leather with the red sleeves and a patch for each year the jacket that a

selected member had been given stitched onto the jacket like an embroidered plaque of achievement.

Snapping back into reality Daniel watched as the teachers,confused, were filing their children

out of the classrooms to the outside. What had he done?He knew there were cameras everywhere in the

school, and slowly came to realize if they watched the tapes he was sure to be done for. All this for aname and a jacket.

C.D. As he watched the hall exploded with activity, as all the classes seemed to exit all at oncefrom the classrooms, he hurried to join the class he left to go use the bathroom as the teacher no

doubtingly suspected. Once the all clear was announced Daniel felt as if he could rest, by days end he

felt very satisfied with himself for his work.

The next day at lunch he wasn't so pleased. “what did you do, man? Thats crap you better be

 joking thats not bad thats playtime you want something to do go take this to this address.

MV Daniel did as he was told. As he walked to this address he wondered what terrible thing must

live their for him to do this deed. But he quickly shoved that idea out of his head. He was not going to

 be bad if he let fear rule his life.

He reached the steps of what looked like a rundown old hospital. He looked at the address and

the paper that was given to him and said, “ I have to deliver this paper to room 6 of this building. He

sighed deeply and made his way into the building. He opened the door and heard the long dreadfulcreek of it. He looked inside. The place was like those haunted houses you see on TV. There were

spider webs everywhere, the lights didn't work ,and the floor creaked as you walked on it. He started

hesitantly up the stairs and saw a sign that said rooms 1-8 this way. He walked with his fists cuffed anda light silent step. He past room 1...... now 2...... 3...4...5 and then saw room 6.

(RK)With a shaky breath, Daniel rang the doorbell. This doesn't even make sense! He thought infrustration, I take this paper to some guy and thats it? I get the jacket? After a few seconds of silence,

save for his erratic foot tapping, Daniel reached up to knock. He was spared by the door opening, and

Jimmy pulling him quickly inside.“Listen, man,” Jimmy said nervously. Daniel took in his surroundings. The room was cleaner 

than the exterior of the building, and had the words “Bad Boys Rule” spray painted across one wall. It

was surprisingly not sinister. Daniel could see the fear in Jimmy's eyes, something that looked terribly

out of place. Jimmy wasn't scared. Ever. He was the leader of the Bad Boys.

 Nevertheless, the fear was there. “I did this to warn you,” Jimmy said. “You don't want this.

Believe me, you don't. Just turn around and go home.” Daniel was thoroughly confused.

(AC)”But I don't understand...” Daniel drifted off in thought.“You don't need to understand, just do what I said, and go home” Daniel turned around and

walked out of the room, down the hall, and out the door of creepy building. He had gotten halfway

home when he stopped to think. “What had Jimmy meant? What was he trying to say? What was hewarning me about?” Daniel was utterly confused. By the time he got home, he had no room in his brain

to think about it anymore, so he just decided to go to bed.

The next morning at school, people were talking, and pointing, and whispering, Daniel

approached the Bad Boys to see what all the commotion was about, surely they knew.

“Didn't you hear?” Matt asked, “Jimmy's out. He's...good now.”

“Yeah man, he gave back his jacket today. He said he never wants to do anything bad again. Hewants to have a future and be a good kid, or something crazy like that,” Jacob stated.

On his walk home, Daniel decided that Jimmy had to be the worst good boy, or the best bad boythere was. He wasn't quite sure which one though. Daniel realized that he didn't want to be bad

anymore, the good kids were the ones that end up with the best life. “Jimmy was good all along,” he

thought to himself, and he Daniel never did anything bad again.
