ELECOM won Good Design Award 2010 in 8 series of

products！！！！The Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization announced the award winners for this year's Good Design Award on September 29th, 2010. ELECOM CO., LTD. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President:

Junji Hada) won the award for 8 series of products.

What's the Good Design Award?

The Good Design Award is Japan's design evaluation and commendation program not only for industrial products but for goods and services in all fields relating to design, including architecture, environment and communication fields. Designs submitted by companies and

designers are evaluated by judges consisting of design experts, and the most distinguished designs are commended. The Good Design Award will continue to offer signposts for

tomorrow's lifestyle to the public, industry and society overall.

Magnet-backed memory card reader

MR-C20 series, MR-C19 series

A magnet on the back of memory card readers in these series allows them to be firmly attached to steel

surfaces, ensuring easy connection and disconnection of USB devices using only one hand. By using the sufficiently long 70 cm USB cable included, the product can be attached even to a place a short distance

away. Offered in 4 colors, the series feature a cute design resembling imported sundry goods with the intention that users will love and use these products for a long time.

Ear canal headphone, Esfera

EHP-EIN110 Series

Esfera is a headphone with excellent sound quality featuring a 13.0 mm large-diameter driver unit. This

series is designed considering not only sound quality but also comfortableness when worn. In search of an ideal earbud shape that creates a perfect fit in the ears, a novel design has been developed by focusing

on three structural features of the human ear: the tragus (triangular flap of cartilage at the entrance of the ear canal), ear canal size and ear canal angle. While the earphone body features deep matte metallic

colors, an aluminum cap is attached on the connection between the earphone body and bush over the cable. Due to its striking design, the earphone has a glamorous and elegant style.

Fatigue-relieving mouse pad, FITTIO MP-115 series, MP-116 series

FITTIO is a mouse pad jointly developed with the Yokohama Rehabilitation Center to alleviate user fatigue

associated with mouse operation. Designed by focusing on the following four aspects: angle, height, shape and material, a FITTIO mouse supports the natural movement of the user's hand with the right angle and height to operate the mouse, and disperses body pressure most effectively with the right shape

and material. In this way, the series reduces strain on the wrist and other parts of the body during operation of a mouse for a long period of time, and thereby alleviates user fatigue. We at ELECOM hope

that FITTIO will help many users by reducing their fatigue caused by mouse operation.
