Today we will continue reading The Weather Monster and answer a few more questions about it, in English we

will be planning your diary entry tomorrow when you ‘become’ Lila! You will be mind mapping Lila’s thoughts

and feelings.

In maths we are continuing with ‘addition and subtraction’ and today’s lesson focuses on using counting on to

add to 20.

In Geography we will continue to learn about

different types of extreme weather.

In Computing we will be creating an algorithm

to move a Blue-bot using the Blue-bot app.

The past tense is used when something has already happened. We use

the past tense when we are retelling events or experiences.




Remember to think about Uncle Ed when you are changing verbs into the past tense.

Some verbs don’t follow the Uncle Ed rule when you change them into the past tense.

Maths:This week in

Maths we will

be continuing

with our unit

‘Addition and

Subtraction’.

Parent notes: The first slide is ‘retrieval practice’ this is

revision of children’s prior learning. The should be

encouraged to complete this independently however some

pupils may need additional support. Following this, please

complete some counting practice using the Youtube

videos and 100 squares provided. Each lesson will have a learning objective, some teaching content and then an

activity for children to complete. On some occasions it may

be beneficial for layout purposes to print the slides however

activities could be completed in a book/on paper.

There will also be directed activities on Mathletics – we will

keep checking your homework and reassigning tasks to help
