and the Lord’s Supper

1Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. 1ทานทงหลายกจงปฏบตตามอยางขาพเจา เหมอนอยางทขาพเจาปฏบตตามอยางพระครสต

Head Coverings

2Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you. 2ขาพเจาขอชมทานทงหลายเพราะทานไดระลกถงขาพเจาทกประการ และทานไดรกษาธรรมวตรทขาพเจาไดมอบไวกบทาน

3But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. 3แตขาพเจาใครใหทานเขาใจวา พระครสตทรงเปนศรษะของชายทกคน และชายเปนศรษะของหญง และพระเจาทรงเปนพระเศยรของพระครสต

4Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, 4ผชายทอธษฐานหรอเผยพระวจนะ โดยมผาคลมศรษะอย กทำาความอปยศแกศรษะ

5but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as if her head were shaven. 5แตผหญงทอธษฐานหรอเผยพระวจนะ ถาไมมผาคลมศรษะกทำาความอปยศแกศรษะ เพราะเหมอนกบวานางไดโกนผมเสยแลว

6For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head. 6ถาผหญงจะไมคลมศรษะ กควรจะโกนผมเสย แตถาการทผหญงจะตดผมหรอโกนผมนน เปนสงทนาอบอาย จงเอาผาคลมศรษะเสย

7For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man. 7การทผชายไมสมควรจะคลมศรษะนน กเพราะวาผชายเปนพระฉายาและพระสรของพระเจา สวนผหญงนนเปนศกดศรของผชาย

8For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. 8(เพราะวาไมไดทรงสรางผชายจากผหญง แตไดทรงสรางผหญงจากผชาย

9Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. 9และไมไดทรงสรางผชายไวสำาหรบผหญง แตทรงสรางผหญงไวสำาหรบผชาย)

10That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.10ดวยเหตนเอง ผหญงจงควรจะเอาสญลกษณแหงอำานาจนคลมศรษะ เพราะเหนแกพวกทตสวรรค

11Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; 11(ถงกระนนกดในองคพระผเปนเจา ผชายกตองพงผหญง และผหญงกตองพงผชาย

12for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God. 12เพราะวาผหญงนนทรงสรางมาจากผชายฉนใด ตอมาผชายกเกดมาจากผหญงฉนนน แตสงสารพดกมมาจากพระเจา)

13Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a wife to pray to God with her head uncovered? 13ทานทงหลายจงตดสนเองเถดวา เปนการสมควรหรอไมทผหญงจะไมคลมศรษะ เมออธษฐานตอพระเจา

14Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, 14ธรรมชาตไมไดสอนทานหรอวา ถาผชายไวผมยาวกเปนทนาอาย

15but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. 15แตถาผหญงไวผมยาวกเปนสงา เพราะวาผมเปนสงทประทานใหแกเขาเพอคลมศรษะ

16If anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such practice, nor do the churches of God. 16แตถาผใดจะโตแยง เราและครสตจกรของพระเจาไมรบธรรมเนยมอยางทโตแยงนน

I Timothyทโมธ 8I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling; 8เหตฉะนนขาพเจาปรารถนาใหผชายทงหลายอธษฐานในททกแหง ดวยใจบรสทธ ปราศจากโทโสและการเถยงกน

9likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, 9ฝายพวกผหญงกเหมอนกน ใหแตงตวสภาพเรยบรอย ไมใชถกผมหรอประดบกายดวยเครองทองและไขมก หรอเสอผาราคาแพง

10but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works. 10แตใหประดบดวยการกระทำาด ซงสมกบหญงทประกาศตววาถอพระเจา

11Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. 11ใหผหญงเรยนอยางเงยบๆและดวยใจนอบนอม

12I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 12ขาพเจาไมยอมใหผหญงสงสอนหรอใชอำานาจเหนอผชาย แตใหเขานงๆอย

13For Adam was formed first, then Eve; 13ดวยวาพระเจาทรงเนรมตสรางอาดมขนกอน แลวจงถงเอวา

14and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. 14และอาดมไมไดถกหลอกลวง แตผหญงนนไดถกหลอกลวงจงไดกระทำาบาป

15Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. 15แตถงกระนนผหญงกจะรอดไดดวยการมบตร ถายงดำารงอยในความเชอ ในความรกและในความบรสทธ ดวยความสงบเสงยม

I Peter เปโตร 3:1-7 1Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives—

1ฝายทานทงหลายทเปนภรรยากเชนกน จงเชอฟงสามของทานเพอวาแมสามบางคนจะไมเชอฟงพระวจนะของพระเจา แตความประพฤตของภรรยากอาจจะจงใจเขาได โดยไมตองพดเลยสกคำาเดยว

2when they see your respectful and pure conduct. 2คอเมอเขาไดเหนการประพฤตทนอบนอมและดงามของทานทงหลาย ผเปนภรรยา

3Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair, the wearing of gold, or the putting on of clothing— 3การประดบกายของทานนน อยาใหเปนการประดบภายนอก ดวยการถกผม ประดบดวยเครองทองคำาและนงหมเสอผาสวยงาม

4but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. 4แตจงใหเปนการประดบภายในจตใจ แตงดวยเครองประดบซงไมรเสอมสลาย คอดวยจตใจทสงบและสภาพ ซงเปนสงทประเสรฐยงในสายพระเนตรพระเจา

5For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their husbands, 5บรรดาสตรผทรงศลในครงโบราณนน ผซงเชอในพระเจา กไดประดบกายเชนนนและเชอฟงสามของตน

6as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening. 6เชนนางซาราหเชอฟงอบราฮมและเรยกทานวานาย ถาทานทงหลายประพฤตด และไมมความหวาดกลวสงใด ทานกเปนบตรหลานของนาง

7Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

7ทานทงหลายทเปนสามกเชนกน จงอยกนกบภรรยาดวยความเขาใจในเธอ จงใหเกยรตแกภรรยา เพราะเปนเพศทออนแอกวา และเพราะทานทงสองไดรบชวตอนเปนพระคณเปนมรดก เพอวาคำาอธษฐานของทานจะไมมอปสรรคขดขวาง

The Lord's Supper Abused

17But in the following instructions I do not commend you, because when you come together it is not for the better but for the worse. 17ในการใหคำาสงตอไปน ขาพเจาชมทานไมได คอวาการประชมของทานนนมกจะไดผลเสยมากกวาผลด

18For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you. And I believe it in part,18ประการแรก ขาพเจาไดยนวา เมอทานประชมครสตจกรนน มการแตกกกแตกเหลาในพวกทาน และขาพเจาเชอวา ตามซงไดยนนนคงมความจรงอยบาง

19for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized. 19เพราะจะตองมการขดแยงกนบางในพวกทาน เพอคนฝายถกในพวกทานจะไดปรากฏเดนขน

20When you come together, it is not the Lord's supper that you eat. 20เมอทานทงหลายประชมพรอมกนนน จงไมเปนการเลยงขององคพระผเปนเจาได

21For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal. One goes hungry, another gets drunk. 21เพราะวาเมอทานรบประทาน บางกรบประทานอาหารของตนกอนคนอน บางกยงหวอย และบางกเมา

22What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not.

22อะไรกนน ทานไมมเรอนทจะกนและดมหรอ หรอวาทานดหมนครสตจกรของพระเจา และทำาใหคนทขดสนไดรบความอบอาย จะใหขาพเจาวาอยางไร จะใหชมทานหรอ ในเรองนขาพเจาจะไมขอชมทานเลย

Luke ลกา 22:14-2314And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. 14 เมอถงเวลา พระองคทรงเอนพระกายเสวยพรอมกบอครทต

15And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 15 พระองคตรสกบเขาวา“เรามความปรารถนาอยางยงทจะกนปสกานกบพวกทานกอน

เราจะตองทนทกขทรมาน

16For I tell you I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 16 ดวยเราบอกทานทงหลายวาเราจะไมกนปสกานอก จนกวาจะสำาเรจความหมายของปสกานนในแผนดนของพระเจา ”

17And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. 17 พระองคทรงหยบถวยโมทนาพระคณแลวตรสวา จงรบถวยนแบงกนดม “

18For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 18 เพราะเราบอกทานทงหลายวา เราจะไมดมนำาผลแหงเถาองนตอไปอก จนกวาแผนดนของพระเจาจะมา ”

19And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 19 พระองคทรงหยบขนมปง โมทนาพระคณ แลวหกสงใหแกเขาทงหลาย ตรสวา น“เปนกายของเรา [ซงไดใหสำาหรบทาทงหลาย จงกระทำาอยางนใหเปนทระลกถงเรา ”

20And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. 20 เมอรบประทานแลว จงทรงหยบถวยกระทำาเหมอนกนตรสวา ถวยนซงเทออกเพอ“ทานทงหลายเปนคำาสญญาใหม โดยโลหตของเรา ]

21But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table. 21 แตดเถด มอของผทจะอายดเราไวกอยกบเราบนโตะ

22For the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!” 22 เพราะบตรมนษยจะเสดจไปเหมอนไดทรงดำารไวแตกอนแลว แตวบตแกผนนทจะอายดพระองคไว ”

23And they began to question one another, which of them it could be who was going to do this. 23 เหลาสาวกจงเรมถามกนและกนวา จะเปนใครในพวกเขาทจะกระทำาการนน

The Lord's Supper Celebrated Properly

23For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 23 เพราะวาเรองซงขาพเจาไดมอบไวกบทานแลวนน ขาพเจาไดรบจากองคพระผเปนเจา คอในคนทเขาอายดพระเยซเจานน พระองคทรงหยบขนมปง

24and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”24ครนขอบพระคณแลวจงทรงหก แลวตรสวา “นเปนกายของเรา ซงใหแกทานทงหลาย จงกระทำาอยางนใหเปนทระลกถงเรา”

23For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread,

23เพราะวาเรองซงขาพเจามอบไวกบพวกทานนน ขาพเจาไดรบจากองคพระผเปนเจา คอในคนทเขาทรยศพระเยซองคพระผ

เปนเจา พระองคทรงหยบขนมปง

24and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 24เมอขอบพระคณแลวจงทรงหก และตรสวา นเปนกายของเรา “ซงใหแกทานทงหลาย จงทำาอยางนเพอระลกถงเรา ”

25In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

25หลงจากรบประทานอาหารแลว พระองคทรงหยบถวยดวยอากปกรยาเดยวกน ตรสวา ถวยนคอ“พนธสญญาใหม โดยโลหตของเรา จงทำาอยางน คอเมอใดทพวกทานดมจากถวยน จงดมเพอระลกถงเรา ”

26For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 26เพราะวาเมอใดทพวกทานกนขนมปงและดมจากถวยน ทานกประกาศการวายพระชนมขององคพระผเปนเจา จนกวาพระองคจะเสดจมา

27Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. 27เหตฉะนนถาผใดกนขนมปง หรอดมจากถวยขององคพระผเปนเจาอยางไมสมควร ผนนกทำาผดตอพระกายและพระโลหตขององคพระผเปนเจา

28Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 28ขอใหทกคนพจารณาตนเอง แลวจงกนขนมปงและดมจากถวยน

29For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. 29เพราะวาคนทกนและดมโดยมไดเลงเหนพระกายขององคพระผเปนเจา กกนและดมเปนเหตใหตนเองถกพพากษาโทษ

30That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.30ดวยเหตนพวกทานหลายคนจงออนกำาลงและปวยไข และบางกลวงหลบไป

31But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged. 31แตถาเราพจารณาตวเราเอง เราคงไมตองถกทำาโทษ

32But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world. 32เมอองคพระผเปนเจาทรงทำาโทษเรานน พระองคทรงตสอนเรา เพอมใหเราถกทรงพพากษาลงโทษดวยกนกบโลก

33So then, my brothers,

when you come together to eat, wait for

one another— 33ดกอนพนองของขาพเจา ดวยเหตนเมอทานมารวมประชมรบประทานอาหารนน จงคอยซงกนและกน

34if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home—so that when you come together it will not be for judgment. About the other things I will give directions when I come. 34ถามใครหว กใหเขากนทบานเสยกอน เพอเมอมาประชมกน ทานจะไดไมถกทรงพพากษาลงโทษ สวนเรองอนๆนน เมอขาพเจามาขาพเจาจะแนะนำาให

Hebrews 12:5-11 5And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him.

5และทานไดลมคำาเตอน ทพระองคไดทรงเตอนในฐานะทเปนบตรวา บตรชายของเราเอย อยาละเลยตอการตสอนขององคพระผเปนเจา และอยาทอถอยในเมอพระองคทรงตสอนนน

6For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”6เพราะองคพระผเปนเจาทรงตสอนผทพระองคทรงรก และเมอพระองคทรงรบผใดเปนบตร พระองคกทรงตสอนผนน

7It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 7ทานทงหลายจงรบและทนเอาเถอะเพราะเปนการตสอน พระเจาทรงปฏบตตอทานในฐานะททานเปนบตรของพระองค ดวยวามบตรคนใดเลาทบดาไมไดตสอนเขาบาง

8If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 8แตถาทานทงหลายไมไดถกตสอนเชนเดยวกบคนอนๆ ทานกไมไดเปนบตร แตเปนลกทไมมพอ

9 besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?

9อกประการหนง เราทงหลายมบดาเปนมนษยทไดตสอนเรา และเรากนบถอบดานน ยงกวานนอก เราควรจะอยใตบงคบของพระบดาแหงวญญาณจต และมชวตจำาเรญมใชหรอ

10For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. 10เพราะบดาทเปนมนษยตสอนเราเพยงชวเวลาเลกนอย ตามความเหนดเหนชอบของเขาเทานน แตพระองคไดทรงตสอนเราเพอประโยชนของเรา เพอใหเราไดเขาสวนในวสทธภาพของพระองค

11For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 11เมอมการตสอนนนดไมเปนทชนใจเลย เปนเรองเศราใจ แตตอมาภายหลงกจะกอใหเกดความสขสำาราญแกบรรดาคนทตองทนอยนน คอความชอบธรรมนนเอง
