donate. Shop. Create Jobs. When you donate to Goodwill, your unwanted items are sold in our retail stores and online. With the money raised from these sales, Goodwill creates lifelines for individuals with barriers to self-sufficiency. Your donation makes a positive impact on the community and the environment. Donating to Goodwill provides many benefits such as job training programs and employment placement services to people with disabilities, those who lack education or job experience, and others facing challenges to finding employment. This practice also offers the community an environmentally healthy alternative for the disposal of unwanted, but still usable items.

Graduates Earn First PaycheckIn 2016, the GOODWorks Program celebrated the achievements of youth who completed a four week training camp that centers on developing employability skills for young workers. The GOODWorks Program provides both soft skills development and hard skills training. The curriculum focuses on training youth with the skills that employers tell us they need – communication and interpersonal skills, customer service, friendly attitude and appropriate workplace behaviors. They also learn hands on skills in retail including processing goods, stocking and merchandising the sales floor. The students were paid for their productive time worked. For some, this was the first paycheck of their lifetime!

This program is funded by the Delaware Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Darby, Pennsylvania. The Job Resource Centers maintain job banks, host job fairs, offer employment skills training and provide computer workshops. Visitors to the Job Resource Centers can get

personalized assistance in creating or editing a resume, creating an email account, navigating the Internet for job searches, and/or taking skills and aptitude assessments.

Goodwill Industrial Services

Goodwill’s Industrial Services Division cleans over 2.5 million square feet of office space every day. Our full service capabilities include

specialty floor care, carpet cleaning, construction clean up, dormitory cleaning, floor buffing, temporary construction labor, and window

cleaning. Our hands on management style has allowed us to develop and maintain a loyal customer base to include the State of Delaware,

University of Delaware, Wohlsen Construction, Emory Hill, Nason Construction, Whiting Turner, and the Ronald McDonald House.
