You may like to purchase an aluminum easel to sit this book on (from Staples or Office Depot--$30-$40). It is also handy to use a stick as a pointer (check out our video for other details,"Open Air Preaching Santa Monica": www.raycomfort.com)

1 Intelligence Test Questions: Use these to draw a crowd. Begin by saying, "We are

giving away money to those who answer these questions correctly." Hold a few dollar bills inyour hand. If someone gets one correct, have the crowd applaud, then give him a dollar bill.Answers: (1. It was Noah not Moses, 2. Deaf people don't use brail, 3. The question is anexample of one, 4. You GO at a green light, 5. Water, not milk)

2 Read the Triangles: If someone gets the question right, just say "Good one," and givethem a dollar. Keep it light-hearted. Most miss the double-up (Paris in THE THE spring, etc).Watch for confident people.

3 The Good Test:Ask, "Does anyone want to try for $20? How about you sir (the confidentman you have noted), would you like to try the 'Good Test.' If you pass it, you will get $20cash. All you have to do is answer three simple questions. Before you try for it--do youconsider yourself to be a 'good' person?" He smiles and says, Yes. I do consider myself tobe a good person. That's when you begin the Good Test by asking him i f he has ever told alie. If he says he has, ask him what that makes him. Many people will predictably try and justify

themselves by saying that it makes them "human, or normal, or someone who told a lie, or likeeveryone else." Or they will try and get the heat off themselves by asking, "Have YOU ever

told a lie?" Tell him that you have broken all the Commandments in spirit, if not in letter. Keep it

general--do not confess to fornication, lust, etc., as the crowd may label you "The LustyPreacher," or something worse. Get the heat of conviction back on the person. You may have

to say, "Let me give you a clue, then lift the flap that reveals the word: "LIAR!" Has he stolen? If he says he hasn't, but he has admitted to lying, say, "We can't believe you, because youhave just admitted that you are a liar. Think back, have you ever stolen anything in your life?" Ifhe says he has, ask him what it makes him (a thief). Has he lusted? Then quote Matthew5:27-28 and tell him that by his own admission, he is a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart, andhe has to face God on Judgment Day. Ask him if he thinks that he will be innocent or guilty on

that Day if God judges him by the Ten Commandments. Will he go to Heaven or Hell? If hesays "Hell," ask if that concerns him. Speak of the value of his life, then preach the Cross, theresurrection, repentance and faith. Remember that the person you are speaking to isn't youronly hearer. Address the crowd also.

4 The Ten Commandments:Ask how many people know all the Ten Commandments. Gothrough them one by one, opening up the spiritual nature of each Commandment. Use the"pointer" to point to each Commandment, so that they receive through the eye-gate as wellas the ear.

5 Science and the Bible: This will give the Word of God credibility. It proves that the Bibleis supernatural in origin. Be careful not to spend too much time on science, evolution, prophecy and atheism. These issues speak to the intellect. It is the Law that brings theknowledge of sin (Romans 3:19-20), so you will have to discipline yourself to take your hearers

through the Commandments regularly, reminding them of Judgment Day, the Cross, etc. Theywon't like hearing of sin, righteousness and judgment, but without that knowledge, the Gospelwill make no sense, and they therefore cannot be saved.

6 Evolution: There are no facts for the "theory" of evolution. It's all "faith." Evolutionists are

forced to use words such as we "believe, surmise, perhaps, maybe, and probably." The Bibleon the other hand can be proven to be supernatural, though its prophecies.

7 Prophecy: Listed are "signs of the times." Jesus foretold the Jewish repossession ofJerusalem. That happened in 1967. They regained Jerusalem after being without a homeland

for nearly 2000 years, bringing into culmination all of the Bible signs of the end of the age. Thiis not the end of the world. The Second Coming will issue in Judgment for sinners, buteverlasting pleasure to those who have obeyed the Gospel. God's Kingdom will come to thisearth, and God's will will be done on this earth, as it i s in Heaven.

8 Atheism:Ask the professing atheist what proof is there that there was a builder. Point to thpicture, or a building you can see. Atheists are often a li ttle slow intellectually, so you may hav

to help him, by saying, "The building is proof that there was a builder. You couldn't want betteproof that there was a builder, than to have the building as evidence."

9 Abortion:A picture is worth a thousand words when it comes to this issue. The woman witthe child: Say, "This woman was raped, but instead of killing the child for the crime of thefather, she went ahead and had the child, and she loves it as her own. This is because it is he

own child." Quote the Sixth Commandment. Speak to the conscience of your hearers. Tellthem that God can forgive murder, as he did with Moses, David and the Apostle Paul.

Born again: Don't be afraid to say, "If you are a Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist(etc.), and you are not 'born again,' then you are not a Christian. Tell them that any argument

they have about the issue is with Jesus, because He said the words. Encourage them to readthe Bible themselves. Tell them that their eternal destiny is at stake.

Remember to be loving, gentle and patient (something not to easy to do in the face of abuse).
