Status UpdateOur Project: An alarm clock pillow cover. We have our embedded prototype ready. This includes our Arduino and motor circuitry, as well as, the android application and the Bluetooth connections.

We have tested most of our initial metrics. We are preparing a more comprehensive list to test at the moment.

Metrics- BlueTooth Range:    Documented on next page    Method: Stand at distance and measure connection time taken.- Idle Power Consumption:     ~24 hours    Method: Periodically establish BlueTooth connection and measure how long it takes for batteries to run out.  - Continuous Power Consumption:     >65 minutes    Method: Periodically establish BlueTooth connection (along with turning on motors) and measure how long it takes for batteries to run out. - Idle Current:     55mA (average)    Method: Use a multimeter to measure the current the battery uses when the motors are not running.- Continuous Current:    Low: 120mA Medium: 165mA High: 210mA    Method: Use a multimeter to measure the current the battery uses when the motors are running.

Initial data

Looking Forward

What have we learned: - Battery life is sufficient, but daily recharging may be required- Bluetooth range is long enough for typical bedroom use- We mostly remember how to solder from 18100

Still To Do: - Complete phone application- Packaging- Test till our eyes bleed
