Who do you think of as a good person, what is it about them

that makes them good?

The Goodness of God is One of His Attributes

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Psalms 107:1).

How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you. (Psalms 31:19).

The goodness of God may be viewed as one part of His glorious nature and character and also the overall combination of His nature and character.

Moses said, "Please show me your glory." And he said, "I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name 'The LORD.' And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. (Exodus 33:18-19).

Goodness means working for the benefit of others, not oneself; Paul mentions it again in Gal. 6:10.

Galations 6:10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who

are of the household of faith.

Who do you think of as a faithful person, what is it about them

that makes them faithful?

Psalm 311 In you, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame;

in your righteousness deliver me!2Incline your ear to me; rescue me speedily!

Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me!

3For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name’s sake you lead me and guide me;4you take me out ofvthe net they have hidden for me,

for you are my refuge.5Into your hand I commit my spirit;

you have redeemed me, O LORD, faithful God.

1 John 1v8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we

say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Faithfulness is another divine characteristic; it

means consistently doing what one says one will do.

Who do you think of as a gentle person, what is it about them

that makes them gentle?

Matt 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my

yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Gentleness is a quality Jesus attributes to himself; it enables people to find rest in him and to encourage

and strengthen others.
