LAMINATE FLOORING

Question: How does your Laminate Flooring compare to other laminate floorings? Answer: Goodrich provides a wide variety of products, to match the right products to the right job. Our products ranges

from Class 31 - 34 (For commercial usage)

From TitanX surface (For Perga Products) to Tech38 (For Tarkett Products), customers can be assured to find the right type of products for their projects.

On top of the various test results, we have a testing kit to prove the quality. (Magic Box)

Both Perga and Tarkett are members of EPLF (European Producers of Laminate Flooring), certified with 18014001 (For environmental friendliness).

On top of that, our floors have been tested E1 grade (passing grade) for formaldehyde emission, which makes

it suitable for use without reservation even in sensitive areas such as children's rooms and kindergartens.

Question: How long will the installation take? Answer: Only one day is required for the installation of a 800sqft area for a residential house. No sanding or lacquering

is required and a house owner can shift all his furniture into the house immediately after installation.

Question: "Can we install over carpet?" Answer:

No. All carpet and padding should be removed before installation.

Question: "How do we clean the floor? Can we do wet washing?" Answer:

The floors can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, broom, or a damp cloth or mop. Wet washing is a definite no-no as 80% of the flooring is made of wood. Normal stains can be removed with the usual cleaning agents or acetone. Most importantly the floor should never be waxed or polished as it will damage the protective layer on the planks.

Question: "If damaged, can I replace my laminate flooring?" Answer:

If a small area is affected, the affected plank can be easily cut out and replaced. If unsure of how to go about it, please contact your sales representative to have our trained installers to do the rectification works. If the floors' damage is covered under the scope of warranty, replacement of planks is free of charge.

Question: "Will removing of laminate floor cause damage to the old floor?" Answer:

Not at all. Installation and removal of your laminate floor will not cause any damage to the original floor. The floor is neither nailed nor glued to the old floor. It works on a 'floating floor' concept.

Question: "What guarantee do you provide?" Answer:

For Perga Products, warranty is up to 50 years for residential usage. It is what we call the Triple guarantee (Warranty that the floor's laminate surface will not wear through, will not fade as a result of sunlight or electric light and will not be stained by substances normally found in domestic environment) .

For Tarkett products, warranty is up to 20 years for residential usage on the visible defects prior to laying, such as: appearance defects, structural defects, indelible stains, and also on the manufacturing defects that occurs during the period of guarantee, such as: early wear of the planks. But WAIT, in addition, Goodrich offers a 3 years warranty on the installation.

Question: "How can I dispose of Laminate / ls laminate recyclable?" Answer:

Disposal is no problem whatsoever. Pieces left over from installation and any other individual pieces can be disposed of along with normal household waste. Where complete floors are taken up, however, these should be taken directly to the waste disposal site. Since laminate flooring is composed of 80 percent wood, it can be burnt without reservation just like other wood-based products. Thanks to new technologies it is now also possible to recycle laminate flooring. Reduced to chips or fibres, 85 percent of the mass of a laminate flooring product can be returned to the production process. As culture substrates they can even be used in agriculture and landscaping.

Question: "What about formaldehyde emission?" Answer:

Like all wood-based products laminate flooring also contains the substance formaldehyde, which can be emitted to the air retroactively. The amount of possible emissions, however, is absolutely minimal and falls within the range of "normal background levels" in room air, according to a report by the Fraunhofer Wilhelm- KlauditzInstitut für Holzforschung (WKI) Braunschweig. This is comparable with emission levels from natural wood and is well below the legally permissible limit of 0.1 ppm (i.e. 0.12 mq/rn> of air), the so-called E1 value. Against this background, therefore, laminate flooring is suitable for use without reservation even in sensitive areas such as children's rooms and kindergartens, according to the WKI.







TIMBER ENGINEERED FLOORING

Question: "Should I expect colour variations in Tarkett Wood Flooring?" Answer:

Wood is a product of nature; therefore, you will see variations from board to board in all ranges. Never two boards are ever the same. Further, over time the color will get matured after exposure to UV-light (in the day-light).

Question: "What are the advantages of the Tarkett Proteco surface treatment?" Answer:

Proteco is one of the most hardwearing surface finishes in the world. It protects your floor effectively against wear and impression marks.

Question: "Can I have wood flooring installed in my bathrooms?" Answer:

It is not recommended, due to the high moisture associated with these areas. It may cause unfavorable conditions for wood flooring.

Question: "Are there any rooms in the house where I should not install wood floors?" Answer:

We do not recommend wood flooring in full bathrooms that have a shower or bathtub. These rooms have the potential for standing puddles of water that can damage wood floors.

Question: "Are Tarkett Wood Floors difficult to maintain?" Answer:

They are as easy or easier than vinyl and laminate.
