Leticia graduated from Hood River Valley High School and will be attending the University of Oregon to study biochemistry with plans to pursue a Ph.D/ M.D. She was also chosen as a Ford Family Scholar. GTA Board Officer Changes The GTA Board held its annual officer election in May. Mike Graham of Real Carbon is the new President and Dave Fenwick of vLetter is new Treasurer. Steve Olson of Sightline Applications continues as Vice-President and Suzanne Burd of Columbia Gorge Community College continues as Secretary. The GTA offers sincere thanks to Brad Schrick of Insitu who did much to grow the organization as President over the last several years.

The U.S. Dept of Interior contracted for smallUAS Systems Services to support manned aerialoperations including fire suppression, search andrescue, emergency management and otheroperations as needed on a "call when needed"basis. Workshops with the Small Business Development Center

The Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) SmallBusiness Development Center offers two opportunitiesfor a free workshop on "Starting a Successful Business"on Tuesday, July 10, 9-12 in The Dalles or Monday,August 6, 1-4 in Hood River. Innovation Finders Capital (IFC), the Washington StateDepartment of Commerce and Orrick Herrington andSutcliffe invite attendees to the Japan-Seattle AIInnovation Meetup 9.0, July 25-26 in Seattle. Themomentum for this quarterly event continues to grow,with increasing participation from Japan's biggestcompanies and Washington State's most innovativetech companies. The Gorge STEM Hub invites all Educators as well asparents and community members interested inbecoming robotics coaches to their Symposium in TheDalles. Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging

CGCC Seeks Proposals for Food + Beverage Industry Workforce Survey

The food and beverage industry is a vital employer in the Gorge, with hundreds of jobsranging from culinary arts and food processing to hospitality, wineries, breweries andcideries. CGCC is partnering with the U.S. Economic Development Administrationand Oregon Investment Board to identify unmet skills in this far-reaching industrysector.
