Overview
• Gosbury Hill GP Clinic is an appointment based GP led Health Centre open from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year,
• Based in Chessington.
• It opened in October 2010
• It was set up out of the recommendations of the Lord Darzi’s ‘Our NHS Our Future: Next Stage Review’ report (2007)
• They offer a traditional service of a GP surgery for registered patients with the Practice

Overview
• They also offer a appoint based service, as opposed to a full ‘walk-in centre’, providing primary care services for
• patients registered elsewhere or
• even patients not registered anywhere
• Urgent cases will be seen the same day.
• They do not treat: Fractures, Open Wounds, Bleeding, Acute Emergencies, and DVTs.
• There are 2 male and 4 female GPs
• It currently has 1900 registered patients

Activity
• Appointment structure:• Weekdays - 15-25 appointments daily
• Sat/Sunday -36-40 appointments daily
• Service saw 3,953 non-registered patients (Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2014)
• Service saw 1,862 registered patients (Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2014)
• They carried out 13,111 consultations for registered and 10,283 for unregistered patients during that time (showing that some patients are using the surgery numerous times a year).
• The typical types of conditions treated are:

pains' and very sick children requiring ambulances!
Performance
• Numbers of registered and walk in patients steadily increasing over the four quarters
• Practice provides a range of additional services (cytology; childhood immunisations; influenza; and smoking cessation)
• Practice has established arrangements for reporting of adverse incidents and significant events
• Practice provides a range of appropriate GP and Nurse appointment; availability; and choice
• Practice survey undertaken on an annual basis
• Practices undertakes infection control audits
• Practice has less than 5 patient complaints over the year
• The practice has been registered with the CQC since 1st April 2013, but not yet received a visit
• Range of substance misuse KPI’s require further work/joint agency working

• QOFF achievement for 2012/13 was 96.62%
• QOFF achievement for 2013/14 was 85.86%
• Previous year’s performance report (2012/13) has not highlighted any issues of concern
• The contractor has received two breaches during the life of the contract; relating to the provision of GP services during core contract hours

• 86.8%. The proportion of patients who would recommend their GP surgery - in the middle range
• 96.90%. The proportion of respondents who stated that the last time they wanted to see or speak to a GP or nurse from their GP surgery they were able to get an appointment. Higher values are better
• 94.8%. GP Patient Survey score for opening hours – among the best
• 85.1%. The proportion of respondents who gave a positive answer to ‘Generally, how easy is it to get through to someone at your GP surgery on the phone? Higher values are better – in the middle range
• 91.2%. Percentage of patients rating their experience of making an appointment as good or very good - among the best results
• 92.4%. The proportion of respondents who described the overall experience of their GP surgery as good or very good. Higher values are better – among the best results
• NHS Choice rating is 3 stars out of 5 based on 21 ratings
• My Health London website reports from the survey that the surgery scored 175.3 out of 200 (Kingston avg. is 160.5 and London avg. 158.74) for satisfaction with overall care received – this ranks Gosbury Hill 6th out all 28 GP Practices in 2013
