    Classic Waffles

    Basic Information

    Ingredients

    2 cups All-Purpose Flour

    1 tbsp Sugar, or other sweeteners1 tbsp Baking Powder1/4 tsp Salt1-3/4 cups 2% Milk4 Egg whites2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

    Method1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.2. Whisk the egg whites for few seconds until frothy.

    3. Add milk and oil to it and give it a mix until blended.4. Now add the wet to dry ingredients.

    5. Mix until well combined.6. Prepare the waffles as per the instructions of your waffle maker.

    Coconut Waffles With StrawberryMango Compote

    Prep Time : 1 to 2 hours

    Basic Information

    IngredientsFor the Coconut Waffles

    1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour2 tbsp honey1 tbsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt4 tbsp unsalted butter , melted4 tbsp canola (vegetable) oil

    1-1/4 cup 2% fat milk

    4 egg whites, lightly beaten1/2 cup coconut milk (not sweetened cream of coconut)1/4 cup shredded sweetened coconutFresh mint , for garnish

    Method1. Toss the cubed mangoes, strawberries and sugar in a medium

    bowl. Cover and let stand until the fruit gives off some juices,about 90 minutes. I think it would be easier if you could prep this

    the previous night, refrigerate it in order to enjoy in the morning.Since every time I made this, it was for Sunday brunch, I haven'ttried doing the advance prepping yet.

    2.Meanwhile, whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a

    large bowl to combine. In another bowl mix the melted butter, milk,eggs and coconut milk.3. Now slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet .Whisk gently just

    until smooth; Mix in the coconut.4. Now prepare the waffles as per your waffle maker's instructionand cook accordingly. I added 1 cup to my waffle maker andcooked it for 4 minutes.

    For the compote 2 ripe medium mangoes,peeled, pitted, and cut into smallcubes 450 grams (1 pint) strawberrieshulled and sliced 1 tbsp sugar

    Graham Saffron Waffles

    Prep Time : Under 15 min

    Basic Information

    Ingredients

    2 cups whole wheat graham flour

    (or use regular whole wheat with bran/germ added)4 egg whites1-1/4 milk1/3 cup olive oil3 tbsp. sugar

    Method

    1. Mix up the dry ingredients in a bowl. Heat the milk to lukewarmand add the saffron to the milk mixture. Give it a good stir. Setaside. 2. Beat the egg whites with a fork for 2-3 minutes until fluffy

    3. Add the milk to the flour mixture. Next add in the oil and then foldin the egg mixture. 4. Stir it until everything is well incorporated.

    5. Prepare your waffle iron as per the manufacturer's instructionsand drop the batter to it. I dropped about 3/4-1 cup of batter. It will

    vary depending on your make. 6. Cook as per instructions andwaffles are ready.

    Chili Hotdog

    Basic Information

    Ingredients1 (15 ounce) can chilihot dog, sliced

    1 cup of grated cheddar cheesediced onion

    bread

    Method1. Butter or spray pam on your machine. Pre heat it.2. Set 2 slices of bread on the machine.3. Add a Heaping Table spoon of chili on each slice and

    spread. Add sliced hot dogs.4. Top off with onions and cheese.

    NOTE - Don't over fill.Top off each with a slice of bread.5. Latch the cooker shut and cook for about 3 minutes or

    till done.6. Enjoy!

    Crispy Quesadillas

    Basic Information

    IngredientsNon Stick Cooking Spray2 20-inch corn or flour tortillas

    Shredded, cooked beef, chicken or pork, (optional)Salsa

    Shredded cheeseSour cream, (optional)

    Method1. Preheat about 5 minutes.2. Spray one side of one tortilla with non-stick cookingspray and place in the sandwich maker (spray-side down),

    top with about 1 tablespoon each of meat, salsa, cheese,and sour cream.3. Spray one side of the other tortilla and place on top(spray-side up).4. Close the lid to the sandwich maker and wait for the redlight to turn green.

    1. Place a small amount of margarine in each of the sand-wich maker wells.2. Preheat about 5 minutes.3. Pour half of the eggs evenly into the hot, buttered wells

    of the machine, top with the ham and cheese, pourremaining eggs on top.4. Close machine, cook for about 2 minutes or until the redlight to turn green. Top with more cheese if desired.

    Yummy Fruit Pies

    Prep Time : 10 mins

    Cook Time : 3 mins

    Basic Information

    Ingredients1 can of refrigerated crescent rolls1 can of fruit flavored pie filling

    Cinnamon sugarmargarine

    Method

    1. Place a small amount of margarine in each of the sand-wich maker wells.2. Preheat about 5 minutes.3. Divide rolls into 4 rectangles; take each rectangle andpinch the perforation closed.

    4. Cut each rectangle in half, making 8 squares. Place onesquare on each side of the sandwich maker.5. Top with about 1 tablespoon of pie filling, cover withanother square of pastry. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar,close maker, and cook about 3 minutes.

    Note: these come out quite dark and the filling is very hot!

    Grilled Ham & Cheese

    IngredientsNon-stick spray1 Slice of ham (diced up)

    1 Slice Kraft American Singles

    Method

    1. Preheat about 2 minutes.2. Prepare the sandwich with the one slice of cheese andthe ham and then spray the outsides of the sandwich withnon-stick cooking spray. I like to spray the outside of thesandwich rather than the machine directly to avoid a

    messy clean up.3. Place the sandwich in the sandwich maker. Close the lidto the sandwich maker and wait for the red light to turngreen.

    Note: these come out quite dark and the filling is very hot!

    Coach Grown Up Grilled Cheese

    Prep Time : 5 mins

    Cook Time : 10 mins

    Basic Information

    Ingredients

    1 medium egg2 slices reduced calorie whole-wheat bread2 tsp butter

    2 tsp dijon mustard1 oz cheese of your choices, shredded or sliced1 small tomato, thinly sliced3-5 fresh basil leaves, washed and roughly chopped1 thin slice of red onion, chopped or sliced in halfsalt and pepper to taste

    Method1. Heat cast iron or non-stick skillet over medium heat.

    Fry the egg (use some cooking spray if necessary to

    prevent sticking).2. As egg cooks, butter one side of each slice of bread,

    and add mustard to opposite side of one of the slices.3. Assemble your sandwich, including the fried egg in this

    order: Bread (butter side out) Cheese Tomato slices Basil

    Red onion Salt and pepper to taste

    Fried egg Bread (butter side out)

    4 Heat the sandwich on low to medium heat (in the sameskillet you used to fry the egg) until golden-brown. Becareful when flipping the sandwich so that it doesn't fall

    apart.

    Let cool about 1 minute and enjoy!
