CIRCULAR

Sub: Closure of Schools on 8th May 2018 in view of warning for thunderstorm.

The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, Meteorological Department, Ministry of

Earth Sciences, Govt. of India has issued a 'Weather Warning for Northwest India'

which indicates possible occurrence of 'isolated thunderstorm/gusty winds with

speed of the tune of 50-60kmph/squall/hail' between 3 PM to 7 PM in Delhi which is

expected to peak around 5.30 pm.

In the light of inputs from State Disaster Management Authority, it has been decided

that Government, Govt. Aided & Recognized Unaided Schools under Directorate of

Education running in Evening/IInd Shift shall remain closed on 8.05.2018 (Tuesday) as

a precautionary measure. Other schools are also advised to not hold outdoor

activities/extracurricular activities during the abovesaid time period.

This issues with prior approval of the Director (Education).
