Back to WorkEmployer Support Payments ($15,000) For a jobseeker over 25 previously unemployed 52 weeks or more Payments are made directly to the eligible employer, in three parts:• Initial payment of $4,500 after four

weeks of continuous employment and approval of the initial payment application.

• Second payment of $5,250 after 26 weeks of continuous employment

• Final payment of $5,250 on completion of 52 weeks of continuous employment

• Support for employers of up to $20,000 who hire eligible unemployed job seekers.

• Each eligible employer (based on their ABN) may claim a maximum of five Back to Work Regional and five Back to Work SEQ initial payment applications.

Social Enterprise Café & Commercial Kitchen

• Tivoli Social Enterprise Ltd employed 24 job seekers to work in the Tivoli Drive In social enterprise café and commercial kitchen

• Trainees completed Certificate I in Hospitality

• Trainees gained practical skills including handling cash, barista & café service, planning menus, ordering produce, preparing & serving meals and using kitchen equipment safely

• Trainees also prepared meals for community events, families in need and the homeless

• In partnership with “Ipswich Pro Drive” driving school, trainees were assisted in obtaining their driver’s licence

• 24 trainees employed, 23 trainees or 96% gained ongoing employment

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) providers

Apprenticeship Network providers give personalised advice and support services from pre-commencement to completion including:

• pre-commencement advice to find the ‘right fit’• administrative support• payment processing• regular contact• targeted services for individuals who need extra support to complete their apprenticeship.

You cannot start an Australian Apprenticeship without an Apprenticeship Network provider.

What is a Group Training Organisation?• Group Training Organisations (GTO’s) hire apprentices and trainees and place

them with host employers.

• GTOs complete employer duties, which include: selecting and recruiting apprentices and trainees paying wages, allowances, superannuation, workers compensation,

sick/holiday pay and other employment benefits managing the quality and continuity of training, both on and off the job providing any care and support the apprentices needs to complete their

training.

• GTO’s can be particularly helpful to small and medium sized businesses that:• find committing to an apprenticeship difficult• lack the resources to manage an apprentice• are unable to provide the full on the job training required for an

apprenticeship.
