Personal Interview for selection of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE) for establishment of

Common Service Centres (CSC) in Puducherry and Oulgaret Municipal limits was held from

23.01.2017 to 25.01.2017 in the Chamber of the District Collector-cum- Chairman (PDeGS).

2. As per the Guidelines for implementation of "Common ServicesCentre 2.0 - A way forward"

under Digital India Programme, wide publicity was given in leading newspaper and official websites

www.py.gov.in&collectorate.py.gov.in. inviting applications from the interested volunteers to

establish CSCsat Puducherry and Oulgaret Municipal limits. In response to this Office notification,

210 candidates have submitted applications for establishment of CSCs at various wards of

Puducherry and Oulgaret limits. Out of the 210 applications, 15 applications were rejected due to

shortfall of mandatory documents mentioned in the notification. All the remaining applicants were

informed through Speed Post, email and SMS to attend the Certificate Verification and Personal

Interview on the dates allotted to them.

3. Out of the 195 applicants, only 150 applicants have appeared for the Interview and the

remaining 45 did not turn up. Most of the applicants have not produced Domicile Certificates due to

non availability of sufficient time. However, they were also considered for scrutiny and personal

interview.

4. Each applicant was screened by the Committee Members and selection has been made

based on their performance in the personal interview. The shortlisted list of the Village Level

Entrepreneurs for setting up of CSCsin the wards of Puducherry and Oulgaret Municipal limits is

enclosed as Annexure. Further the selection shall be provisional subject to the production of

Nativity Certificate and their ability to establish CSCwithin one month in the ward allotted to them,

failing which the allotment will be cancelled and no requests thereto shall be considered.
