Above, in ‘Memories of the Seaside’, we see fishing boats and brightly coloured beach huts,bringing back memories of children playing on the beach, squawking seagulls and sunshine.Bottom left is this three dimensional model of the Kingfisher, one of Paul Hilditch’s favouritebirds, famous for their flash of electric blue and orange. Bound to tempt any bird watcher. And finally below right, in ‘Oak Nymphs’, the Nymphs are the trunks and branches of theseancient Oak trees. They are joined together as if in some form of dream dance.

This is the second candle extinguisherdepicting Queen Victoria, which hasbeen commissioned by Goviers of

Sidmouth. The first “Young Queen Victoria”issued back in 2001 sold out in only four days!.

Albert is wearing a field marshall’suniform with the star of the Garterand badge of the golden fleece.

Every detail has beenpainstakingly reproduced inEnglish fine bone chinaand painted entirely byhand. Liquid gold hasbeen used to paint thebuttons and details to the

medals and sword. The sculpting of the

uniform has beenauthenticated bya specialistmilitary tailor toensure thatevery detail,however,small iscorrect.

Victoria is wearing a veryelegant cream coloured dress,painted with lustred ceramicpaint to emulate the silk satinthat the original would havebeen made from. Fromher left shoulderis draped the Garter Sash and around thesoft puff of her left sleeveis the Order of the Garter. Her jewellery has been skillfully hand finished in either 24 carat gold or plati-num.
