Dear Fellow Mustang enthusiasts,
My promise of no more rain the last newsletter seems threatened on this Vintage Grand Prix
weekend, but maybe our new convertible top talisman will hold. So I hope you came out to
Schenley Golf Course on Sunday and visited with club members at our tents set up on our
Patron Parking spots by brothers Ernie and Mark P rain or shine.
The festivities and all the great cars and car enthusiasts at the Vintage Grand Prix always make
for a great time.
We are cruising right through July and our annual GPMC Picnic is at Monroeville Park on Sun-
day July 27th.
August 22nd is Mustang night at Starlite and we should have another big turnout for the club.
Our next club meeting is at Croatian Center off Babcock Blvd in Millvale area of the north
hills. Jen B. has already put excellent directions on the Club website. I only covered a few of
the upcoming events so look forward to participating in the full cruising season.

Combined Board and General Meeting Minutes – July 2, 2014
The combined meeting was called to order by Mark Mu. ,President, 7:25 PM, at Apollo Shelter, Moon Township. The sign-in sheet was passed around, and the 50/50 was sold by Charlyn M.
Board Meeting
Mark called the Board Meeting to discuss the misplaced GPMC tents from last year’s Pgh. Vintage Grand Prix and the possibility of purchasing new ones for this year’s PVGP. Jason mentioned Ed notified several Board members that he could purchase new tents at half price. A blast e-mail will be sent to members asking if anyone may have knowledge who dismantled them and where the tents may be stored and Mark Mo. will check the PVGP storage unit if they were left behind and were picked up. The subject was brought up about forming a better e-mail list for Board members so that "all" Board members will receive information being sent.
General Meeting
Guests: Tom D. (father of new member). New Members: Tom D. (2001 Laser Red/Tan Coupe, 3.8L – V6) and John N. (2014 Ruby Red Metallic/Black Coupe, 3.7L, 6-speed select shift). Announcements: Zelienople is having a July 4th parade. Sign-up time is 9:30-10:00 and parade time is 11:00. Scott U. mentioned that Holy Spirit Catholic Church (West Mifflin) will have a car show on Sunday, July 13, 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM. Minutes: The June 4, 2014 Meeting Minutes were reviewed. It was moved by Jennie B. and 2nd by
Danielle L. to approve the minutes. Motion carried.
Correspondence/Illnesses: Several members had surgery or were under the weather. Get well cards had been sent to Cheryl B., Jan M., Terry M., and Susie W. Members learned at the meeting that Mike Z. was also hospitalized.
Treasurer's Report: Jason reported Income was from Membership and MCA Dues, 50/50 raffles (May and June), Merchandise, and All Ford Show (Registrations, 50/50 and Basket raffles). Expenses were to Cheryl B. (All Ford Show Dash Plaques), Jennie B. (May newsletter expenses), Jason U. (club donations for Road Rally – Bill and ValJean and Tim B.), and Weldon Acres Trophy (All Ford Show Trophies). It was moved Ken Ba. and 2
nd by Scott U. to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried. Membership: Mary reported we have four new memberships (Kyle D., Tom D., Richard/Lisa F., and Chadd Mc-B/Norman C.) for a total of 140 memberships.
Newsletter: Andrew absent. July 15 is the deadline for the August Newsletter. Continue to send photos, articles, and event info to Andrew at [email protected] and to Jennie at [email protected].
Merchandise: John reported we had good sales at the All Ford Show. He had two orders for the embroidery company. Hats are $15 on consignment. Member, Malcolm J., who is in the Navy, ordered a throw and shirt.

Webmaster: Jennie provided the members with the new password for our Members Only site. Send car and event photos to her at [email protected] for posting on our site. Check our Announcement/Meeting pages for any changes or cancellations that may occur. She continues to update the site. Regarding the Comments page, Jennie approves the first new comments and once approved any future comments will be permitted.
MCA: Ed absent. For Ed, Jason reminded members if you have joined MCA this year as a new member, please send Ed your MCA number and expiration date. If you haven’t joined MCA yet, consider doing it through our club. The club receives membership points. Event Wrap-Ups: Dwight reported there was a good turn out from the All Ford-Powered Show and thanked everyone for supporting The Schaab Foundation charity. Ken suggested that members’ cars be separated into three classes. Also, it was proposed that once a member’s car has won, specifically 1st place, it should be out of competition for two years (no trophy). Discussion followed regarding 2nd and 3rd place winners -- would they be excluded or be eligible again. It was moved by Ken Ba. and 2nd by Denny L. to discuss this at the next meeting. Motion carried. Regarding Can-Am that was held on June 27-29, Youngstown, Ken reported that Mahoning Valley did a very
good job. MVMC had 13 cars, GPMC – 12 cars, Lake Erie Mustang Owners’ Club (LEMOC) and Niagara Classic Mus-
tang Club (NCMC –Canada) had four each. Next year’s Can-Am will be held in Ontario, Canada.
Activities/Upcoming Events: Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP) will be held on July 11-20. The Road Rally will be held on July 6. In addition to the two parking spaces, we have two spots in the parade lap. Mark P. and Ernie P. will provide and put up two tents. Mustang Nite at Starlite is set for Aug. 22. Upcoming Cruises: Idlewild Park Antique and Classic Car Parade, Sept. 6. Dwight and Ken suggested doing something at this show. Dwight will check it out. The Club Picnic will be held on Sun., July 27, at Monroeville Park, Pavilion #2. Dwight mentioned if any member has any ideas and wants to get involved to let him know.
TRCCC: Scott U. reported there was no meeting this month.
Old Business: Bill and ValJean R. and for Tim B. thanked the club for the donation to the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis. They will participate in the MS road rally/scavenger hunt. Their link is on our website.
New Business: None Other: Theresa won the 50/50. Next meeting: Wed., August 6, at the Croatian Club in Millvale. Directions are on the website. Adjournment: It was moved by Jennie B. and 2nd by Mark Mo. to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
