Pastor Ray’s Review

Time Flies when you’re having fun!

Happy 3 Years to Grace Chapel! I am so overwhelmed with emotion as I consider how

good God has been to me and to Grace Chapel. I am also humbled to think that God would call

me to pastor such an amazing place full of the most wonderful people. The number 3 biblically

represents divine wholeness, completeness and perfection. This is a year that should challenge us

to strive to achieve and represent this number in its biblical context. May God help us to

experience the wholeness that we have when he is our God and Christ is our savior. “The Lord

is my shepherd I shall not want…” We are complete in Christ, lacking nothing and although I

may not ever achieve perfection this side of Heaven, I press toward that mark. Let’s celebrate this

milestone at Grace Chapel and let’s take all that we’ve learned and apply it to our lives as we

move forward for the cause of Christ. Thank you for 3 great years and we look forward to many

more.

Upcoming Opportunities for Outreach: Feb. 15 @ 8:30am—Men’s breakfast @ Pop’s Cafe

Christmas Grace—Donations will be collected throughout the year to help families in need during Christmas. If you are interested in helping, please indicate on your tithing envelope or on your online tithing. Thank you! F.E.E.D. (Feed Every Emergency Department) - We will be feeding our emergency department personnel during the months of May and October. Please prayerfully consider donating to help us raise money to FEED them for 26 hours and show our appreciation for all of their service and dedication to our community! Women of Grace Missions Blessing Bags for House of Agape I challenge you to be that cheerful giver. We are in great need of toothbrushes/toothpaste, hand sanitizer, socks, hats and gloves. Also any snacks for their snack bags, as a special treat for them. 2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Adopt a Youth Thank you everyone for your involvement in our Adopt a Youth program. We still have a few youth who have not turned in their papers, so therefore, they don’t have a sponsor. If you are interested in helping, please contact me and I will let you know as soon as those youth turn in their papers. We are excited to say that we have quite a few birthdays this month. If you know of a Youth that has not filled out a paper, please see me (Jodi) so we can get them taken care of as soon as possible. I also wanted to let everone know that you don’t have to sponsor a youth to be involved in this program. Our youth is sonstantly changing and facing life challenges. They need our prayers regularly. It would be great if you could make a personal commitment to pray for them daily. Brothers in Grace – B.I.G. 1st Thursday of each month @ 6:30pm Our men’s ministry is designed to help men grow in their walk with Christ. The topic changes every month, but it’s always a topic that we, as men, face in our daily lives. The menu changes as well, but the food is always as good as the fellowship. YOUTH—S.T.O.R.M. Troopers Student Training Out Reach Ministry Happy February Grace! This month we will be diving into character studies with our students! They have expressed so much excitement with digging deeper into their Bibles this year! We will also be trying to get our youth’s schedule of upcoming events with the help of parents so that the church may support various outings that are going on, in and around, our community! Women’s Bible Study Our next Bible Study will begin on Tuesday, March 24 through May 26th which will be “Breathe, making room for Sabbath” by Priscilla Shirer. House of Agape Opportunities Every Sunday you will see a small house on the stage. This small house is for donations to help offset the cost of meals and supplies to help feed the homeless at House of Agape. Our church has volunteers that feed at House of Agape every Friday. Do you want to receive a blessing? Volunteer to help serve and fellowship from 5pm—7pm 839 Ashton Street Rock Hill SC (5th Friday of month our Youth and Academy Christian School will partner together and serve)

Grace in Motion….

We hope that you will join us February 8th, at 6:00 for our Valentine Dinner. It’s going to be a great evening with dinner, fellowship, and a fun game of Family Feud to end our night!

The menu for night is as follows:

Your choice of Parmesan Crusted Chicken or Sweet Honey Glazed Pork Loin, along with Baked Potato, Salad, Bread, and

Dessert. All included for a donation.

Youth & Kids Snow Tubing Trip The youth & kids are going on an overnight snow tubing trip Feb. 16—Feb 17. Children, 5th grade and under, must be accompanied by a parent. We will be leaving right after church on the 16th. Please be in prayer for our safety as we travel and our safety on the slopes.

Fatz Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Saturday, Feb. 22 from 8am-10am $6.00 Child & $10.00 Adult

Join us for a delicious, housemade pancake breakfast where a portion of each and every plate sold goes directly to Grace’s Kids/Youth Programs. Spring Fling Vendor Fair Saturday, March 28 from 9am-2pm *Raindate: April 4*

If you know of a vendor or you yourself are a vendor, please see Emily Martin. We will be selling breakfast and lunch as a fundraiser for Grace’s Kids/Youth programs so come eat and shop with us!! This will give you an opportunity to buy gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduation, accessories for prom, baby and wedding shower gifts and much, much more!

Card Ministry You can send cards to any church member at any time. We have a gorgeous, hand crafted box on the table in the foyer with a list of names on top of it. All you have to do is place your card in the box with the person name on it and we will deliver it for you. If you have questions, please see Tanya Demby
