GONDOLA By Adrien Chabanne

Once   I was on a holiday with my family and we decided to go to Venice                                                      

Italy. 

Venice is very small; it is as small as a mouse! 

 We did lots of things it was it was our last day so we did my favorite thing, 

which was the gondola. 

 We lined up. 

The line was as long as a crocodile! 

Finally it was our turn to go in the gondola. 

It was very wobbly. 

Then it began to move! 

We could see salty water; I could hear the splashing of the paddle.  

I touched   the water and it was as cold as ice! 

I could smell the fresh air going in my face. 

My mum wanted the operator to stay still so she could take a picture of him 

but she was shy. 

When it was finished we got out of the gondola. 

But I think my mum was sad because she did not get a picture of the operator! 

Well at least we hade a very good day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!               

Costco

Last year my family went to Costco. The pizza smelled burnt. The fruit smelled fresh, and the fish smelled stinky. Inside Costco I saw a lot of animals. I saw a hamster, a dog, a cat, and a fish. There were a lot of people too. They were talking a lot while I ate ice-cream. The ice cream was very yummy and sour. I saw lots of books. There were some English books, and some were Japanese. I saw a lot of toys. There were Lego’s ninja go characters. I found a big chocolate bar. It smelled like strawberry, and it tasted like cake, so I bought it. Next time I will buy a big tub of ice cream in Costco.

My House By Ayane 

One day I was in the school bus comming home.  My friend was on bus 

too. I got home and ate dinner. The dinner I ate was very yummy.  The 

dinner I was as yummy as a hamburger.  I ate many kinds of food.  I   

think it was the yummiest food I have ever eaten, but before I ate my 

yummy dinner my brother made the living room so noisy.  It was as 

noisy as a band.  (I don’t like this time.)  When I went to bed it was as 

quiet, as school at night.  (I like this time.)  When I woke up it was 

6:20am.  The breakfast I ate was so sweet.  It was as sweet as candy.  I 

quickly did my work.  My brother also did the work.  We finished the 

work fast, as fast as the wind.  When I went to school, I still 

remembered the yummy foods I ate.  In the bus I told my friend about 

my food.  The yummy dinner and yummy breakfast made my so 

happy, plus the snack and lunch was so yummy I think it was a very 

good time, as good as my dream. When I go home I still remember the 

yummy foods.       

Ok-Mart By: Ee Heng

Last week I went to ok-mart to look around. I went to the drink area first and it was as cold as ice. There were a lot of drinks. There was milk, juice and many other things. Then I went to the tidbits area. I saw a lot of plastic bags and potato chips. They taste cheesy and sweet. Then I went to the instant noodle area. The cup of noodles tastes sweet. The instant noodles were as spicy as chilly. Then I made up my mind and bought a drink instead. I bought raspberry juice. It was as sweet as candy. It cost $90. When I finished, I bought orange juice. It was as sweet as candy and as sour as lemon. Then I bought apple juice and a cup of noodles. Then I went

home which took 5 minutes. Then I went to ok-mart again to buy a chocolate bar called kinder bueno and Hi-chew. Then I went home and watched TV. Then I went to ok-mart again to buy Doreamon cake and juice. I went home and watched TV again. Then I did not go back, I just went to sleep.

At the hospital By Mami Sugiura 

Last winter I went to the hospital.   I was very 

sick,so I stayed 2 weeks.  The room was as white as a cloud.  

At night, outside was as beautiful as a diamond. 

The room smelled like medicine.   It was 

so good but at first I couldn’t eat food or drink water and I used 

an I.V..  Later I could eat and drink.  The food was as yummy as 

the yummiest restaurant in the whole world.  My mom and I 

were the only people in the room.  Sometimes we moved to 

another room.   Sometimes I sat on the wheelchair and went to 

the X‐ray room.  I didn’t like it because, it was so cold.  When I 

was waiting for my X‐ray, I watched the  T.V..  I liked laying on 

the bed more than sitting on the wheel chair.  When I  laid on 

the X‐ray bed, I was  surprised, because the bed was as cold as a 

ice.  I really missed my class mates and Mr. Anderson.  I got 

tired of watching T.V. and playing games.  When I stayed in 

ICU, even my parents couldn’t stay together.  My mother 

thought we were lucky because, I learned English so I could 

communicate with the staff.  I thought so too.  I was as lucky as 

a person who wins the lottery.  I think I was lucky that the food 

was yummy and I didn’t need to do my homework .  The bad 

thing was later when I came back, I had a lot of Chinese 

homework. 

Hi-life Story Michael

One day I came to Hi-life. I saw many things and this is how I’m going to start my story. This is a story about cookies and other things. The cookies in Hi-life are as hard as a rock. It is good that I have very hard teeth. The cookies are as round as a ball, but not 3D. Oh no I forgot to give the cashier $50! I ran up to the cashier table. The cashier said, “Its okay,” to me. I sighed and went home but I didn’t know why I remembered I wanted to drink good water. I ran to the Hi-life again. I bought a bottle of good water. Also, I bought a pack of potato chips

(sour cream). I brought it to the cashier. I gave him $10 and he gave me the change. I was so hungry I ate many potato chips and drank some good water. I bought more potato chips because they are so yummy. I was as full as a pig. Then I came to hi-life as hungry as a skeleton. I bought 3 packs of potato chips (sour cream). I bought 1 pack of hi-chew. I bought kinder bueno. I gave the money and the cashier gave me change. I went to hi-life again. I bought many many things. I bought another pack of chips of cheese flavor, and a kinder bar (yummy kinder bar).

Soccer ball By Ray Chang

Last week I played soccer at my grandmother’s house with Jack. My grandmother’s house is very big. My whole family was there for Chinese New Year. Everyone was as busy as a bee. I was playing soccer against my cousin Jack. Jack is my older cousin and he is as strong as an ox. We were playing for a long time and the score was 0-0. Finally Jack scored a goal and he got very excited. I told Jack it was a good game. I was as fast as a cheetah but Jack was faster. After the game I was as thirsty as the desert, so I drank a lot of water. I can’t wait to go back to my grandmother’s house next year. THE END

At Family Mart Richard Tsai

Last week I was at Family Mart buying a drink, when I drank it, it was as sweet as a chocolate bar. When I was in the drink section, it was as cold as ice! Then I went to the food section to buy a rice ball, it was cold too. When I bought the rice ball, it smelled as salty as the ocean. At the cashier, the table was as smooth as silk. When I bought the drink and the rice ball and when I went out, I heard a Ding-Dong sound. The outer door

was as hot as fire. There were a lot of cans in the drink section and a lot food rapped with plastic in the food section. The place is as small as a mouse hole. Then I went to Family Mart to buy a rice ball again, salmon flavor, it tasted like fresh salmon in the sea… Then I went to Family Mart, I want to buy another rice ball but another flavor and Fin drink because I played soccer and I was very sweaty because its summer and it is as hot as fire! So I drank Fin and ate my rice ball, it was as cold as ice!

Lego Land By Tom Lu

Last summer I had a great time at the Lego Island with my family. I felt very happy because I could go buy toys and play games. It was very loud in there and I smelt plastic. I got to play a Lego Star Wars game. I bought Lego shoes and a Lego book. I went to a Ninjago game, Lego halos, and Lego Kingdom. I walked around for what felt like 45 hours. I went back to the Lego hotel to play with toys. Later I went to Lego Island to have dinner. When I went back to the Lego hotel, I took a bath. I played for about 10 hours, and then I went to sleep. My dad turned off the light and I thought the wall was as dark as the night sky. The next day the sun was as light as fire. I went to Lego Land to buy toys and I saw a Ninjago that was as white as ice. I bought the Lego Halo 3 toys and I went to the airport. When it was time to go on the plane, I got on and came back to Taiwan to go back to my house. I had such a good time.

The Book Store By Victoria 

Today I went to a book store.  The book store was as big as 

a castle. The air conditioner was on in the book store it was 

so cold it was as cold as ice.  The stuffed animal was as soft 

as a pillow. I saw many wonderful books and I like the 

books very much.  I bought a little bunny that was very 

cute.  The colour of the bunny was as yellow as the sun.  I 

gave Yvette a blue one that was as blue as the ocean.  My 

little sister got a pink bunny. I went there because we were 

supposed to buy my sister’s birthday gift.  There was a 

white one too but we didn’t buy that. It was as white as 

snow.  There were a lot of people.  I think that it was a kind 

of a public library.  At last we’re going home.  My sister 

only bought a little bunny.  My   mom said we can come 

again next time and I can’t wait!  

My Home

One day, at night time, my Aunty cooked some salmon at my home. The salmon was as yummy as chocolate. After dinner, I went to write my homework. I hate it, but I need to listen to my dad. My mom came home, and she was as dirty as mud. I was practicing piano, and she was very happy. She said it was because it was her BIRTHDAY. She let my sister and I watch Shrek, the ogre movie. I love that movie. Shrek is as ugly as a slug. Then, we went and brushed our teeth and went to sleep. The next morning it was time for school. I woke up and went to school. It rained, so we went to the computer room for recess. After that, we all went to music class. We had a lot of fun because we played music games. When it was the end of school, we had robot club. It was as fun as playing games. I used my robot to fight with other people. It was as easy as running. Then my dad came to pick me up.

I am at my house. My house is as big as my school. I have a playroom at my house. I like my dogs and onetime I slept on my dog’s bed. My playroom has toys, couches, dog’s bed, table, TV, and cookies. Sometime I watch TV in the playroom and I took drinks from the kitchen. My dog is in the kitchen. M y dog is as big as a bear. The playroom is as big as our class and the kitchen, too. Beside the playroom is the study room. I always write my homework there. The kitchen has an oven and the oven is as big as a school desk. There is a sink and some pots. Sometimes I would just eat in the kitchen. I helped my mom cook one time. My brother said is very good and then my mom said I cook it. Then my brother said it is too salty. He said it’s
