GRADING POLICY

Student grades are based on:

Participation

Effort

Work Habits

Citizenship

Grading Policy

All students start each trimester with 100 grade points, an “A”. Points are deducted for:

Non-suits

Lack of effort

Not following directions

Not complying with safety rules

Missing assignments (mile make-up)

Missing class

LETTER GRADES

95-100 points = A 70-74 points = C-

90-94 points = A- 67-69 points = D+

87-89 points = B+ 65=66 points = D

85-86 points = B 60-64 points = D-

80-84 points = B- (59 points

77-79 points = C+ and below = F)

75-76 points = C

GRADE CARD RECORDING

O marks = A

1st mark = A-

2nd mark = B+

3rd mark = B- and a teacher conference

4th mark = C and a detention

5th mark = C- and a parent phone call

6th mark = D-

7th mark = F

CITIZENSHIP GRADES

Based on: following class rules/expectations, following directions, being respectful

O = outstanding, no points deducted

S= satisfactory, points deducted 1 or 2 times

N= needs improvement, points deducted 3 or more times

Based on: non-suits, lack of effort, no mile

make-up

LATE TO CLASS

UNEXCUSED TARDIES:

1st tardy = warning

2nd tardy = warning

3rd tardy = campus clean-up

4th tardy = detention
