This is an important reminder to get your flu shot as soon as possible to protect yourself and stay healthy as F IN A L E X A MS and the C H RIST M AS H O L ID A Y BRE A K approaches! Within two weeks after vaccination, antibodies develop that protect against influenza virus infection so it is important to get vaccinated before holiday travel. F lu Shots are available at the Student H ealth Center from 9 am to 3 pm daily except W ednesdays immunization hours are 9-11am and 2- 6 pm (SH C closed from 11 am to 1:30 pm). F lu shots are $15 and payment options are: Campus Cash, Check or C redit Card (not American Express). No appointment is required. Stirring the F ire Student F ellowship The “Stirring the Fire Fellowship” is a $3,000 grant made to USD by social documentary photographer Phil Borges to help support a USD undergraduate or graduate student to do an international study, volunteer, internship, or service-learning project focused on one of the following issues related to gender and social justice: education, economic security, health, leadership, trafficking, or violence against women.
