A key component of our strategic plan is to significantly increase our number of exceptional graduate students, and our commitment to world-class research offers unique opportunities for students to engage in programs at the frontier of engineering education and innovative research. We encourage you to pursue graduate studies in Auburn’s College of Engineering, and embark on an education that equips you to improve our quality of life and solve the world’s greatest challenges. Our faculty members are committed to your success, and dedicate themselves to preparing you for rewarding careers in industry or academia. Financial Assistance Support is available to graduate students through teaching and research assistantships. Full tuition fellowships are also available to all graduate students on a 33 percent or greater assistantship assignment. Additionally, renewable fellowships are available that create opportunities for financial packages ranging from $20,000 to $32,000 plus tuition. These highly competitive packages enable Auburn Engineering to recruit and support outstanding graduate students. Samuel Ginn College of Engineering As the largest engineering program in Alabama, Auburn boasts nearly 4,200 undergraduate students with more than 850 graduate students. The college has been ranked in the top 50 nationally for the past six years in total research expenditures, with recent expenditures exceeding $58 million. The U.S. News & World Report ranked the college’s graduate programs 38th among public universities. With a dynamic and innovative research program, as well as 12 undergraduate and 10 graduate degree granting programs, the college is recognized as a significant contributor to the region’s economic development and industrial competitiveness.
