Who can participate?

Those students who have:

• earned at least 28 credits towards the Ontario

Secondary School Diploma by the end of June

Who will get a diploma?

Those students who have:

• earned at least 30 credits (including 18

compulsory credits) by the end of June

• successfully fulfilled the Literacy requirement

• completed 40 hours of Community Service (to

be submitted to Student Services by

(Wednesday, January 30th, 2019)

Community Service Hours

In order to receive your Ontario Secondary School

Diploma you must complete 40 hours of community

service

Only 48% of potential graduates have completed their

hours

Ensure that your community service activities are eligible

Give your authorized hours to Ms. Scurci for entry into

your records by (Wednesday, January 30th, 2019)

Who will get a certificate?

Those students who have:

• successfully completed the Communications

program at SJA or

• successfully completed the requirements for the

Ontario Secondary School Certificate

• Photos are taken before Christmas by

appointment

• If you missed having your photo taken,

$75.00 - ONLINE PAYMENT ONLY

This fee covers the cost of the following items:

• Gown

• Keepsake cap and tassel

• Photo taken during the ceremony

• Invitations

• Grad breakfast

• Hall rental and decoration

Because of the new facility we will no longer have to

put a limit on the amount of guests you are allowed to

bring!

The complex is fully accessible and there is room for

all of your family members to attend the event!

So Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Joe and your

Neighbour Pete can all attend!

Program Cover

• Grade 12 students are invited to submit

a cover design for the grad program

• Design should be in black on 8.5 X 11”

white paper (but keep in mind that the

final size will be 5.5 X 8.5 “)

• All submissions are due March 2nd,

Awards

Those students who wish to be considered for a

special award must:

• Pick up your application form from Student Services beginning March 19th, 2019

• Drop off your completed application form to Student Services by April 26th, 2018

Valedictorian

Valedictorian: a member of the graduating

class, nominated and selected by peers to give

a 10 minute speech at the Grad Ceremony

Valedictorian Nomination Forms: in Student

Services on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019

Return Date: nomination forms must be

returned to Ms. Creede by March 5th, 2019
