    Pattern Notes:

Worked in continuous rounds; do not join and do not turn unlessotherwise specified. Use stitch marker to indicate beginning of

    rounds.

Make your stitches tight so the stuffing will not show. All of my patterns start with Ch 2 if you are more comfortable

using the magic loop, by all means do so.

Yarn listed is what I used Size may vary with other yarns. Presto Felt is a sticky back felt with a peel and stick backing.

Purchased at Michaels Arts & Crafts.

Not safe for small children, removable parts. Choking hazard.

Every effort is made to make this pattern as accurate as possible. If you

Presto Felt is a sticky back felt

    Purchased at Michaels Arts and

    Craft Store.

You will use the Presto Felt with the

    black construction paper for the

    graduation cap.

    Graduation Cap:

    1. For the base of the graduation cap, cut a strip of Presto Felt 4 long and

    1/2 wide.

    2. Carefully remove the paper backing from the Presto Felt and fold over to

form a circular base, approximately 1-1/2 diameter.3. For the top of the cap, cut a 1-1/2 X 1-1/2 square from the Presto Felt

    and the black construction paper.

    4. Carefully remove the paper backing from the Presto Felt; place the black

construction paper on the sticky side of the felt.

    5. Apply a thin layer of glue on the edge of the base of the graduation cap.

    6. Place the top of the cap on a flat surface, felt side down. Carefully place

the cap base on the cap top, centering the base. Set aside and allow to dry.

    7. For the tassel Make a tassel with the yellow embroidery floss. My

tassel measures 1 long. (The size of your tassel may vary depending on thesize of your doll and the graduation cap.) Leave a strand of embroidery

floss at the top of the tassel; you will use this piece to attach the tassel to

    the graduation cap.

    8. Place a dot of glue on the center of the cap (top part of graduation cap).

    9. Position and place the strand of embroidery floss where the glue was

placed. (You may need to trim the strand of floss to fit the cap, leaving

enough to dangle the tassel over the side of the graduation cap.)

    10. Top with the 7mm yellow PomPom.

    11. Set aside and allow to dry completely before gluing on to the head.

    Diploma:

    1. Roll the paper into a tube, apply a small amount of glue to the edge of the

paper and gently press to stick.

    2. You can write the word Diploma across the roll of paper. I printed

Diploma on a plain piece of paper, Old English font.

    3. Trim ends of Diploma after it is rolled and glued.

    Graduation Banner:

I printed Class of 2013 on a plain white paper.1. Fold close to the print.

    2. Trim banner to 1 X 3/4.

    3. Place a small piece of double sided tape on the paper. This will hold the

    banner together.

    4. Apply a small amount of glue on the fold.

    5. Place toothpick flush against the fold, press to stick.

    6. Set aside to dry.

NOTE: These measurements are based on the size of my doll. If your doll

is bigger, you will need to adjust your measurements.

    To Assemble:

Sew head to body. Sew ears as close to cap as possible. Sew arms, just below head. Sew legs. With pink embroidery floss, sew nose. With black embroidery floss, sew eye lashes.

Apply a thin layer of glue on the bottom edge of the graduation cap;position cap on head, pressing gently so it will stick. Set aside to dry.

(Tassel should be to side of head).

Glue diploma on hand. Insert Banner through hand.

Your Graduation Kitty is finished! Kitty measures 3-1/2 tall.

    Happy Crocheting!
