Define College Preparatory

• Parkway Center City Admission Requirementsa. Must have all A's and B's and no more than one C.b. Must have average or above Terra-Nova score.c. Must have excellent marks in citizenship—no "3's”.d. Should have no suspensions.e. Attendance should not exceed 10 days absent/5

days late.

f. Must demonstrate an attitude and have aspirations to attend college.

• Class of 2011 earned $3,381,500 in college scholarships

• Valedictorian received 4 year scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania

• Recent Parkway alumnus graduated from Dartmouth and attends Harvard Law School

• Parkway alumnus graduated from Penn State University and played Division 1 volleyball

Graduation Requirements

• Must earn a total of 23.5 credits & include:4 English 2 Arts/Humanities4 Social Studies 2 World Languages3 Math 4 Electives3 Science 1.5 Health/Phys Ed

• A passing grade in high school is a D or higher, 65 or higher.

• Multidisciplinary Project or Service Learning Project also required.

Graduation Requirements(General Promotion Guidelines)

• Promotion is based on earned credits– Promotion to 10th grade – 5 credits– Promotion to 11th grade – 11 credits– Promotion to 12th grade – 17.5 credits OR

sufficient number of credits to reach 23.5 by the end of the 12th grade

Multidisciplinary Project

• All students must volunteer 120 hours by the end of their junior year
