-thing( 사물 ) 과 -body( 사람 ) 가 붙은 부정 ( 不定 ) 대명사에는 everything, everybody, something, somebody, anything, anybody, nothing, nobody 가 있는데 그 용법은 앞에서 다룬 every, some, any, no 의 어법에 거의 준한다 . 이들 부정대명사들은 형용사가 그 뒤에 와서 꾸며준다 . Is there anything interesting in today's newspaper? Yes, there is. Is anybody in the room? / I saw something white in the dark.[ 명사적 용법 ] : everything: [ 가장 중요한 것 ], something: [ 상당한 것 ], nothing: [ 하찮은 것 ], everybody: [ 가장 중요한 사람 ], somebody: [ 상당한 사람 ], nobody : nothing: [ 하찮은 것 ].
